3.5 Stars
Nothing like a wedding to shake things up…. Even magically.
Ms. Galenorn takes us out of the tea shop and the craziness has hit the fan. Emerald’s family is in town, the drunken ex shows up and the BFF has a stalker. That doesn’t even include the paranormal aspect of story! I loved all the family moments of One Hex of a Wedding. Getting to see a different side of Emerald, that just shows what a wonderful character she is.
Ms. Galenorn ends the Chintz ‘n China Series on a high note. One Hex of a Wedding has a good plot, excellent character development, great paranormal aspects and a well written mystery. Many moments to laugh out loud with. Along with a storyline that will keep you turning the pages. Ms. Galenorn consistently gave readers an engaging story, while keeping them guessing through the entire series. Emerald has grown considerably throughout the series, magically and personality. I have enjoyed spending time in the tea shop and shall miss visiting with them.

ARC Review: Put Out by Lani Lynn Vale

Angie is a survivor. Anything you could throw at her, she could overcome.
Angie has been through hell and back. She a survivor. She’s felt heartbreak in too many ways. She’s strong, independent and a single mother. Having survived things no people should have to experience, she stands with her head held high, working her butt off, to make a good life for herself and her daughter. I love that she will stand up for herself in anyway she need to. Life handed her a crappy hand and she threw it back. She keeps her heart guarded but a super hot, all alpha fireman has her foundation cracking.
Bowe is the sweetest of men but so unlucky in love. He’s caring by nature. He a firefighter/EMT, constantly putting his own life in danger to save the lives of other. He’s a persistent man, I loved that about him. He’s fun, flirty and so sexy. Several personality traits of Bowe surprised me in such a good way. He did unexpected little things and went out of his way on other. He’s got a heart of gold, the patience of a saint and a wickedly naughty mind. Bowe is swoon worthy.
Lani Lynn Vale’s talent for captivating readers with her weaving of words, transforming them to a story that is enticing, holding an emotional depth that allows the reader to feel with the characters is something to behold. Her style of writing is equine, bold and always leaves this reader more than satisfied at the end. Hard working hot, alpha men, sassy, strong women and charismatic secondary characters make pull readers in and keep them turning the pages.
Put Out is an emotional hot mess, balanced with the perfect amount of angst, drama and suspense. Sexual tension, chemistry and the slow build between Bowe and Angie is spot on, entertaining and very sexy. I really enjoyed Bowe and Angie’s back and forth banter. Well written and emotionally deep, Ms. Vale gives her readers an on the edge of your seat, fast paced and exceptionally hot read. I highly recommend allowing yourself to get lost in PUT OUT.

Review: Dallas Fire and Rescue: Scorched by Melissa Schroeder
Scorched
Melissa Schroeder
Dallas Fire & Rescue Kindle World Series
The Eldridges Series, Book 1
As a firefighter, Cooper Murray has had his share of close calls, both on and off the job. When he’s injured in a four-alarm fire, he’s left at the mercy of Misty, his soon to be ex-wife. They’ve been estranged almost since their whirlwind romance and Vegas wedding. No woman has ever made him so insanely crazy or tugged at his heartstrings the way she does. Still, being in the same room is always dangerous for both of them.
Misty is convinced she’ll pay for her mistake of a marriage for the rest of her life. Coop was the one man who had captured her heart, and then he stomped on it and went back to Dallas. She had just started to live her life again when she got the call about Coop and his injuries. Misty isn’t in the mood to play nursemaid, but since he has refused to sign their divorce papers for eight months, she plans on using his confinement to force him to do just that.
With his injuries forcing close quarters, both Coop and Misty discover they have more in common than just the passion they share. Little by little, the pain of their past fades. But when things get tough, will they be able to hold the fragile new relationship together, or are they doomed to commit the mistakes of their past?

4.5 Stars
Cooper and Misty have attraction and chemistry, it was like love at first sight. Just as fast as they started, they married and stopped. Cooper and Misty hold secrets affecting their ability to communicate with one another. Causing something that could be extremely good to go south very quickly. The heat of the moment can cause both pleasure and pain, leaving two people heartache and loneliness. Months later Cooper is injured while fighting a fire. One phone call has Misty at his bedside. Cooper sees this as his chance to convince Misty they belong together.
Melissa Schroeder packed a lot of emotion and passion in a quick, heat filled, second chance at romance read. A good story line, strong characters and very steamy. Even in this short tale we see a lot of character growth for both Misty and Cooper. Ms. Schroeder delivers a fun, sexy and heartfelt read with Scorched.
On a side note- As a long time reader of Ms. Schroeder, I love how she always include family. Misty’s brothers are bold, loud and a force. I can’t wait to learn more about them.

Brody is fun, friendly and flirty. Big, tattooed and all alpha. This hottie is not one to settle down however is always good to the woman he’s with. He’s a good man, caring with a sweet side. Brody is friend with a lot of people but not really close with anyone. Spending time with a girl he believes to be too good for him, has Brody wanting more than he has before.
Adoring Ink is sweet, a bit adventurous and sexy. Brody and Holly are total opposites that complement each other well. Carrie Ann Ryan gives readers a strong heroine and a hero that makes your mouth water. Both Holly and Brody carry baggage that keep a part of themselves sheltered from the world. Review: A Harvest of Bones by Yasmine Galenorn

A Harvest of Bones
Yasmine Galenorn
Chintz n’ China Series, Book 4
It’s harvest time in Chiqetaw, Washington; Emerald O’Brien’s favorite season. But this year, nature yields a most supernatural bounty. 3.5 Stars
A thoughtful gesture has caused a lot of ghostly havoc for Emerald and crew in the fourth book of the Chintz ‘n China Series, A Harvest of Bones.
As Emerald and Joe clear a vacant lot for the expansion of an herb garden, they uncover a foundation of a forgotten building and unknowingly unearthed something quite dangerous. The Magic and mystery fly as Emerald races against time to solve a decades old murder, help a ghost and find her missing cat.
A Harvest of Bones has a historical fiction feel mixed within the paranormal. The folklore and the journal entries enhance the storyline and depth to the book. Each of book of the series has a completely different feeling surrounding it. A Harvest of Bones has a somber and darker feel mixed within the mystery. I feel it allowed the reader to become closer with the characters. Emerald continued to grow along with the story. She was forced to face fears on the drop of a dime, She took them head on. I very much enjoyed A Harvest of Bones! Romance, paranormal and mystery weaved together for a wonderful tale.

Release Day Review: Trick by Laramie Briscoe
But then he moved in with his new flavor of the month and told our daughter his new woman wasn’t into children. That pissed me off.
Now Riley feels abandoned, and I can’t make it better; no matter how hard I try. I’m desperate to help her adjust to the loss of a male figure in her life. The companion program that matches adults up with children who have loneliness and abandonment issues is my last hope.
The counselors tell me he’s doing community service hours, and I ask to sit in on his meetings with Riley. The minute I see him astride the matte black Harley, I know neither my nor Riley’s life will ever be the same again.
Trick
Community Service. Two words I should be thankful for, but I’m not. I resent the hours it’s away from building my business. The two previous kids I’d been paired up with didn’t work out because their mothers were more interested in getting in my bed. This next match with a little girl is my last hope. Unless this kid works out, I’m destined to serve time.
When they push her into the room wearing pink converse with a black dress, her crazy curls barely held back by the barrette in her hair, and studious glasses on her face, I can tell she’s scared – of new people, of change, of being pushed aside. Something inside of me breaks, and I want this girl to feel wanted again.
What I’m unprepared for is meeting her mom. The second our hands touch, there are fireworks, bright lights, and a picture of the future I could one day have. The future I’ve never allowed myself to wish for.
Community service becomes more than a chore, more than time I resent for being taken away from me. In the months that follow, I realize they’re just like me: they’ve been abandoned, left behind by the world, forgotten by those who should love them.
Thanks to the one last hope in both our lives – we found the light in the darkness we’d been searching for.

Hadley is a single mom doing it all. Work a full time and part time job to give her daughter what she need. Hadley’s life changed on the drop of a dime when her cheating husband decided that was not the life for him. She picks up the pieces and makes a new life for the two of them. Hadley takes a leap of faith and enrolls Riley in a program that will pair her up and give her a positive male influence in her life. Little do they know it will be life changing for them both. Knowing what it like to be a single mom doing it all, Hadley is hands down awesome.
Patrick “Trick” Tennyson has made some mistakes in life. He’s a man that takes full responsibility for his actions and is paying his debts society. He’s a man that takes full responsibility for his actions and is paying his debts society. Little did he know the companion program his community service requires him to take part in, would change his life in more ways than one. The hard as steel, tatted up, panty melting man has a heart of gold and the . patience of a saint. Trick’s exterior appearance is just an added bonus to the amazing qualities of this truly wonderful man .
Sweet, slow burning and deep!
A second chance at life, trust, leaps of faith, listening to your heart and unconditional love make up the amazingly emotional story that is Trick! I have been very fortunate seeing Ms. Briscoe’s writing develop and grow from almost the beginning. In the last year I seen her talent take some amazing steps forward. Trick, in my mind, is a different type of book for her, one which I absolutely adored. It also shows the growth in her talent for weaving work together not just writing, but creating a story. Ms. Briscoe characters are seem so real and reader are able to relate with them on many levels. Every emotion is beautifuly protraded perfectly. Allowing the reader to not just read the story but feel it as well.
Deep emotions line every page creating a story that the reader not only gets lost in, but gets attached to. Likable and lovable characters draw you in, make you laugh and feel. Slow building passion that add fuel to the fire of passion for Trick and Hadley. Sexy, hot and passionate with a ton of heart. If you are looking for a book that is low on angst and drama but will hit your heart hard, Trick by Laramie Briscoe is the read for you.

Excellent paranormal mystery.
Someone has it in for bikers and Emerald has found herself tangled in another tale of mystery and murder. Murder Under a Mystic Moon, the third book of the Chintz ‘n China Series is filled with suspense and magic. Ms. Galenorn gives readers her twists on legend and lore, creating a unique story.
