Erika Wilde
The Players Club, Book 3

Paige Moore has a fulfilling business designing couture corsets for her high profile clientele, but her love life is sorely lacking. Being burned in the worst way possible by Sawyer Burrows has left her guarded and wary when it comes to men and their motives. When her best friend presents her with an invitation to The Players Club, she embraces the chance to enjoy a hot night with a stranger, and finally put her past heartbreak, and Sawyer, behind her.

Paige’s surrender is Sawyer’s ultimate goal, but once her desires are sated, will she give them the second chance they deserve?
4 Stars
History makes the passion more intense!
Erika Wilde blew me away with this one. Paige and Sawyer’s chemistry and passion are natural, powerful and explosive. The want, need, intensity and history of the couple makes the story all the more sexy! Fighting pain and feelings that never faded, while lust burns the pages. Ms. Wilde gave the readers a hot flippin’ book! Impressing this reader with not just the pleasurable side of BDSM, revealing a bit of psychological side as well. Seeing into both Paige and Sawyer’s heads was a an added bonus to this read!
ARC Review: Tempting Boundaries by Carrie Ann Ryan
Carrie Ann Ryan
Montgomery Ink Series, Book 2
Decker Kenrick knows it’s wrong to have feelings for his best friend’s little sister, but that doesn’t stop his thoughts from going down that path. No matter how hard he’s tried to stay away from Miranda, once she gets her sights on him, there’s no backing down.
Miranda Montgomery might be the youngest of the Montgomery clan, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t know what she wants. Namely—Decker. She’s loved him for as long as she can remember and won’t walk away until she gives it her all.
But once they give in, not all is at it seems. Decker’s father’s out of jail and someone from Miranda’s past isn’t happy with the new relationship. Even as they start to move on and overcome their pain, they’ll find that their inner obstacles are the ones they’ll have to face first.
4.5 Stars
Miranda is the youngest of the Montgomery children. Although they are still treat her as if she is the little girl, she is very much an adult and a woman. Miranda is independent strong and caring. She has an underlying wild streak that only a few you get to see. One of the things I like most about her is that when she wants something she won’t stop till she gets it.
Decker Kenrick has gotten a piece of my heart. He has passion, loyalty, talent and a few demons. Decker is a few dashes of sweet with a big heaping cup of hot. Woot! This bearded, tattooed man will get under you skin. His past is not a pretty one. That draws him to me in more ways that I am willing to go into. Enduring things that no one should have to go through, Decker learned what Family truly is with the Montgomery’s. With his tender heart, tattered soul and amazing hands Decker has the best teachers as to what being family really is.
Chemistry, passion and feeling is what Carrie Ann Ryan gives her readers in Tempting Boundaries! Decker and Miranda heat the pages while fighting for something worth fighting for. The two were made for each other. Knowing there was more to the two them than family/friends thing they test the waters ad push the boundaries. Finding out a deeper story that will cut your heart. You can’t help but to feel for them. Showing a family that will open its arms even if fists fly from time to time. One moment a tear will fall because of raw emotion the next your hot damn that is flipping hot. All while diving deeper into the Montgomery clan. A damn fine read and my favorite of the Montgomery Ink series thus far.

Review: Lilith by Kelli Maine
Lucifer’s Legion Motorcycle Club #1
Kelli Maine
ebook, 74 pages
Who am I?
I’m every woman’s worst nightmare.
A taker of lives.
A trainer of slaves.
You can call me Lucifer.
Luc “Lucifer” Bontrager is a nomad in Lucifer’s Legion Motorcycle Club. Traveling chapter to chapter, he brings in big money kidnapping women, training them and selling them as sex slaves. He’s heartless, brutal and all business.
And then he meets his match.
Lilith. Every man’s worst nightmare. A taker of lives. A sociopath on the run.
Inked up with satanic symbols and verses, she’s fearless and completely insane. Luc can’t train her, he sure as hell can’t sell her, and—for the first time in his life—he can’t bring himself to put a bullet in the bitch’s head either.
She’s his worst regret.
Her words and cold, calculating eyes haunt him. She’s the devil on his shoulder, reminding him of all his sins. He should’ve killed her when he had the chance, because when the unthinkable happens and Luc falls for the young, innocent girl he’s training, Lilith seeks her revenge, targeting the only girl he’s ever wanted to keep as his own.
3.75 Stars
Luc “Lucifer” Bontrager is the textbook version of a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. He’s pretty much an asshole all the time. Then there will be these moments that its like a light shines through making something about this monster into someone almost beautiful. Then you take a breath and realize he is straight from hell.
Lilith is like the total psycho Spawn of Satan. Crazy and proud of it. I don’t even think I can put words to this woman. And the sad thing is I really don’t know which of the two of the was the worst.
This book is not for the faint of heart. It is truly a messed up story with messed up situations and severely messed up people. Somehow I could not put the damn thing down. The author gives the reader a warning at the beginning of this book, the morning was very accurate. Somehow I got very intrigued by these characters enough to keep turning the page and learning the story. Again it’s not pretty, I wouldn’t call it entertaining. However something about it made me want to keep reading.

Audio Review: Death Watch by Dana Marton
Dana Marton
Broslin Creek Series, Book 1
Audio version: 5 hrs and 54 mins
As the only person who can identify the most notorious hit man in the country, Kat Bridges is running for her life.
Murphy Dolan is in the Army Reserves, returning from his 2nd tour of duty, only to find a stranger hiding in his house. She’s scared spitless. He’s completely burned-out on violence. Neither of them has any trust left to give.
If the best of the FBI couldn’t protect her from the country’s most notorious assassin, does a burned-out small town cop have a prayer?
4 Stars
Kate witnessed a murder by highly wanted man, who even the FBI can’t protect her from. Sassy and cunning Kate goes into hiding in the town of Broslin. She is the kindest of people. Even with the danger that breaths down her neck, she puts the need of other above those of herself. Running for so long as worn this woman out, but trusting anyone is a danger. Loneliness does not suit Kate well. In walks Murphy. Changing everything all at once.
Murphy has seen and done to many thing at haunt him. Being a soldier does more to one’s being and body then one can understand. After being hurt in action Murphy comes home to his small town and a strange woman in his bed. Being a cop and a military man, Murphy sees there is more to her story and being a man she does things to his body.
High five to Dana Marton! Deathwatch is a great romantic suspense book! I don’t think I have read a book where the balance between romance, comedy and suspense is perfect. Kate and Murphy are great together and really make the book. Kate is hysterically funny! For all the danger on her tail, that woman will make you laugh. Murphy is protective and caring with just a touch of dominance which makes him almost perfect. The romance and suspense will keep you moving through this fast-paced story. I promise not only does the story deliver steamy romance, you will be laughing as well.
Talmadge Ragan does a great job of giving another voice to this book. The narration is flawless. You were easily able to distinguish the different characters voices. I also believe it intensifies the comic effect within this book.
I was given a complimentary Audiobook of this title for an honest review. Receiving a complimentary copy does not affect the outcome of my review.
Guest Review by Slick Reads: Naked Desire by Desiree Holt
Desiree Holt
Naked Cowboys, Book 5
Jesse Orosco is ready to roll up his sleeves to renovate Cyn’s storefront, but it’s the self-doubt lurking in her beautiful eyes he wants to tackle first. The five-foot-nothing red-headed dynamo makes his mouth water, and not just because of the tantalizing aromas drifting from the back of her shop.
The buzz about the rub’s mysterious ingredient has customers lining up for more, and soon everyone who tries it is making beautiful music in the bedroom—including Cyn and Jesse. But her reluctance to go public with their relationship—and someone in town with a jealous bone to pick—could drive a wedge between Cyn and her smoking-hot cowboy.
Warning: Contains a sexy carpenter with calluses in all the right places, a vulnerable woman who’s locked away more than a secret ingredient in her wounded heart, and a town full of matchmakers with an appetite for love.
I’ve been a lover of author Desiree Holt’s Naked Cowboy series since its inception and right now I’d like to give her a big ol’ smooch for writing an older heroine/younger hero story. Sure there are some books out there with this troupe but not near as many as the other way around and what I loved about this one is the hero was dead set on making this relationship a go from day one. Cynfully sexy (take my word you’ll understand that once you read the book) but mixed with humor and small town dramatics Naked Desire is another fantastic addition to an already great series.
Cynthia Dellinger has moved to Saddle Wells following a devastating divorce in which she got the one thing that mattered to her; her grandfather’s secret bar-b-que spice rub and sauce recipes which made her ex-husband a fortune at his restaurants. Now in the heart of Texas in prime bar-b-que country Cynthia is risking it all in hopes of making her store a success. What she doesn’t expect is to find herself attracted to her much younger contractor, Jesse Orosco. She really doesn’t expect to find that Jesse wants her and is willing to do whatever is necessary to make her understand.
First off, I love loved the interplay between all the women in this book. All of them are from the previous books in this series and while it is great for readers of this series to see them all again, this book can absolutely be read as a standalone story. I love how this group of women has become so close, how they are there to boost each other up, and to lend a hand or a shoulder when needed. There is so much to be said for great friendship and this series proves that point time and time again. It helps that these ladies put Jesse in Cyn’s path and then encourage her when she is nervous about the age difference.
Jesse, wow…it was so easy to love this quiet man who knew what he wanted and went after it with his whole self. There is something so sexy about a man who chooses to pursue a woman and sticks to it no matter what obstacles get in their way or how many roadblocks she tries to throw at him. He was smart, sexy and very determined yet he was equally gentle, kind, and knew when to move forward and when to back off. While 8 years younger than the heroine he absolutely had a great head on his shoulders and proved time and time again his maturity.
I admired Cynthia so much for picking up her life, moving half way across the country, and starting over all on her own. Having her self esteem crushed, and not believing in herself was tough to overcome and I was so glad she found great friends and a man who helped her to see she was capable of doing whatever (and whoever) she wanted!
There’s never a dull moment in a Naked Cowboy story and Naked Desire is no different. If you enjoy lively characters, sexy romance, and some humor thrown in for good measure I urge you to check out this author and this series.
Review: Hard To Come By (ARC) by Laura Kaye
Hard To Come By
Laura Kaye
Hard Ink Series, book 3
Published November 25th 2014 by Avon
Derek DiMarzio would do anything for the members of his disgraced Special Forces team—sacrifice his body, help a former teammate with a covert operation to restore their honor, and even go behind enemy lines. He just never expected to want the beautiful woman he found there.
When a sexy stranger asks questions about her brother, Emilie Garza is torn between loyalty to the brother she once idolized and fear of the war-changed man he’s become. Derek’s easy smile and quiet strength tempt Emilie to open up, igniting the desire between them and leading Derek to crave a woman he shouldn’t trust.
As the team’s investigation reveals how powerful their enemies are, Derek and Emilie must prove where their loyalties lie before hearts are broken and lives are lost. Because love is too hard to come by to let slip away…
Intense in action, intense in romance.
Emile had to make choices that would tear anyone apart. Standing her ground, doing the right thing, changed the game for more than a few people. In turn changing her life forever, both good and bad. A sweet woman who has been burned, Emile’s trust has been shattered. Life has thrown her one hell of a curve ball, that has that fear all over it.
Derick is my favorite of the dishonored Heroes of the Hard Ink series. An easy going, light hearted, caring, gonna make you smile kind of man. Not to mention incredibly sexy. He is the embodiment of strength. He has not let his disability get him down. Struggling through the pain and fighting to move forward, Derek is the kind of person that will always see the glass half full that. For as strong as Derek is, even loneliness it’s at eats at his soul.
Connection, chemistry and passion. I think this may be Laura Kaye’s best book yet! Intense is almost to light a word for Hard To Come By. I got chills as I was reading because it was too real! Action is around every corner, more questions are asked while discovering the truth from a lie. Emotions bleed from the pages, that in turn made me really care for these fictional characters. Not only care, want to just in and join their fight. Ms. Kaye caught my attention with the first book in the series, Hard As It Gets, with Hard To Come By she has 100% captivated me. If you want compelling characters, steamy romance, and a book that, is in my opinion is written with a lot of heart and soul, you have all that right here. A damn fine read.
Readers note: Hard To Come By is the third book of the Hard Ink series. It could be read as a stand alone, I do feel reading the previous books will enhance and give a lot of understanding as to what is going on.

Review: Fight Faith by Brandie Buckwine
Brandie Buckwine
Eric’s band is on the verge of making the big time and life is good. But, when he’s forced to work with Faith, a sexy but hateful videographer, life for the foreseeable future might be a little rocky.
The tension between Eric and Faith is nearly tangible. Their troublesome friction abruptly becomes a lust-hate situation, fraught with vicious barbs and spite, but an explosive sexual chemistry that could burn them both, leaving nothing but a pile of ash in its wake. But Cupid has a wicked sense of humor and the two of them will find that the person you hate the most can sometimes rock your world the hardest.

3.5 Stars
A knock down, drag out, non stop hit you in the face story. Fighting Faith is truly a fight from beginning to end. At first meeting Eric is rubbed the wrong way by some constructive criticism from Faith. Taking the attraction he instantly has for Faith to level that has the fist flaring. Raw, rude and nothing is fair in lust and war. As the insults fly and the temperature rises, Eric and Faith will make your jaw drop. Good or bad? That remains to be seen.
I really like the gritty rawness of the story. I wish it had been a little longer. It moves fast and will more that catch your attention. Edgy and dirty, the one we care about the most can drive us insane the fastest.
Review: Hollywood On Tap by Avery Flynn
Avery Flynn
Sweet Salvation Brewery, Book 2
They are each other’s Ying and Yang. And it’s funny as hell watching them figure it out.
Looking for a sexy read that is gonna make you laugh. Hollywood on Tap is that book. The snarky humor alone is enough to make this a great book. Combined with the steamy romance Ms. Flynn delivers makes Hollywood on Tap a very entertaining read.
Review: The Flame by Christopher Rice
Christopher Rice
IT ONLY TAKES A MOMENT…
Cassidy Burke has the best of both worlds, a driven and successful husband and a wild, impulsive best friend. But after a decadent Mardi Gras party, Cassidy finds both men pulling away from her. Did the three of them awaken secret desires during a split-second of alcohol-fueled passion? Or is Mardi Gras a time when rules are meant to be broken without consequence?
Only one thing is for certain—the chill that’s descended over her marriage, and her most important friendship, will soon turn into a deep freeze if she doesn’t do something. And soon.
LIGHT THIS FLAME AT THE SCENE OF YOUR GREATEST PASSION AND ALL YOUR DESIRES WILL BE YOURS.
The invitation stares out at her from the window of a French Quarter boutique. The store’s owner claims to have no knowledge of the strange candle. But Cassidy can’t resist its intoxicating scent or the challenge written across its label in elegant cursive. With the strike of a match and one tiny flame, she will call forth a supernatural being with the ultimate power—the power to unchain the heart, the power to remove the fear that stands between a person and their truest desires.
4.5 Stars
Tantalizing, tempting, and erotic. Christopher Rice nails erotic romance.
The 11th installment of the 1001 Dark Nights series, The Flame by Christopher Rice is like an erotic assault on your senses. Mr. Rice’s talent for descriptive writing not only leaves your visual pallet stimulated, the aromatic descriptions make you want to close your eyes and let your sense of smell take you away. It’s hard to believe this is Mr. Rice’s first attempt at an erotic romance. He writes it like a seasoned pro.
His characters are likable, the setting is amazing and the passion is beyond hot. In the short 80 pages Mr.Rice takes the reader on a mystical and erotic fantasy ride. Capturing a taste of New Orleans and the freedom she seem to instill on those that dwell within her!
I look forward to seeing what Mr. Rice has in store for his readers with his, Desire Exchange Series. I have a feeling that many cool drinks with be need for this series , as the pages The Flame are steamy!

Review: Long Hard Ride
Long Hard Ride
Lorelei James
Rough Riders series, Book 1
Channing Kinkaid itches for a wild western adventure with an untamed man. Enter Colby McKay, bull rider, saddle bronc buster and calf roper. He knows he’s found a woman who’s up to the challenge of cutting loose. Intrigued by Channing’s bold proposition to “horse around” on the road, Colby proposes sexual escapades not only in his bed, but in those of his two rodeo traveling partners. Can Channing give up total control? Especially when not all is as it seems with the sexy trio?
I want to start out this review by saying this is the first Cowboy book I have ever read. They are not my cup of tea. I am one of those girls that likes those really bad boys, and thats not the way I saw cowboys. I was given the opportunity to read Ms. James book. I was very skeptical as to whether or not I would enjoy this type of book. When I finish I was more than surprised at the enjoyment that I got from Long Hard Ride!
Colby and Channing are in the same boat in two different worlds. Defying what both their parents want of them. Not ready to settle down and take on the ranch Colby continues on the rodeo circuit to claim the spot of number one ring and taking all the women he can find. Sexy and demanding, Colby caught me quick with his sweet smile and devil of tongue.
Channing is a prim and proper girl with an underlying naughty streak waiting to burst out. Embarking in a wild sexcapade that would leave any woman’s toes curled, Channing might as well been hit by a bull. Raw sexy and commanding men leave her more that lusting. More like down right wanting.
Who knew Cowboys were dirty talking naughty men. Talk about a book being sexy, and erotic, you will turn red just from reading. Ms. James held no bars in this book, including mild BDSM, ménage and a super hot m/m scene. And lots of naughty men. Woot! Formost this is an erotic story and sex content is high. Ms. James also gives a colorful story and deep, heartwarming characters that kept this reader turning the pages.
Long Hard Ride was truly a surprise read for me. I never would have that I would have liked let alone love a cowboy book. Ms. James layed this erotic tale with personality, charm, and passion. Hot and sweet! Ms. James made me like a cowboy book. That something I never thought could happen. Major props to you, Ms. James.
