Snowbound Seduction

Melissa Schroeder

March 21st 2016 by Entangled Publishing, LLC (Select Contemporary)

This blizzard is blazing hot…

Trevor MacMillian is the tart and incredibly sexy executive chef who’s made pastry chef Elaine Masterson’s life a living hell. But when she catches him in nothing but a tiny little towel, it’s almost enough to make her forget they’re stranded in a luxurious mountain cabin together…or that she hates him almost as much as she craves him like a sinfully forbidden dessert.

Being alone in a romantic secluded cabin might just kill Trevor outright. If Elaine hates him now, how much will she hate him if she finds out he’s been fantasizing about her full, kissable lips? So Trevor argues with her. Makes her angry— until an intense and unexpected kiss turns their hostility into insatiable hunger. And with this much heat, the snowstorm outside doesn’t stand a chance…

Melissa Schroeder teases and tempts readers with the delicious sexual tension of Snowbound Seduction.

The animosity flying in the kitchen between Trevor and Elaine has nothing on what the two truly feel for each other and are afraid to show it.  When the two stubborn chefs get tricked into a weekend alone it put up or shut up time for them both.

A quick, read that’s sweet and tempting. I loved the witty, back and forth banter between Elaine and Trevor.  Their tension turned passion is as delectable as the dishes they create.  Enemies to lovers are some of my favorite stories, Trevor and Elaine will make your mouth water.

Trouble Maker

Liliana Hart

The MacKenzie Family #11.5
Kindle Edition
Published February 16th 2016 by Evil Eye Concepts, Incorporated

Marnie Whitlock has never known what it’s like to be normal. She and her family moved from place to place, hiding from reporters and psychologists, all because of her gift. A curse was more like it. Seeing a victim, feeling his pain as the last of his life ebbed away, and being helpless to save him. It was torture. And then one day it disappeared and she was free. Until those who hunted her for her gift tried to kill her. And then the gift came back with a vengeance.

Beckett Hamilton leads a simple life. His ranch is profitable and a legacy he’ll be proud to pass onto his children one day, work fills his time from sunup to sundown, and his romances are short and sweet. He wouldn’t have it any other way. And then he runs into quiet and reserved Marnie Whitlock just after she moves to town. She intrigues him like no woman ever has. And she’s hiding something. His hope is that she begins to trust him before it’s too late.

Oh my goodness, holy hot cowboy!
Marnie has seen and experienced enough hurt to last many lifetimes. Yet she finds courage within herself to continue on. A special gift give Marnie an extra insight to thing around her. A bless and a curse both in her eyes. Trust misplaced has Marnie starting over in her hometown.  Holding her head high, proud of watch she can do, Marnie takes on her life with all she has. An extraordinary character.
Beckett made me fall for a cowboy. A man who’s proud of who he is, what he does and the legacy he puts his soul into. A good hearted man, who loyal, trustworthy, and good to his word. Sexy and built, with the patience of a saint. Beckett work his cowboy way into my heart.
Trouble Maker is my first sampling of Liliana Hart’s work and will not be my last.  Heartbreaking and warning all in one. Power packed with emotion and lingering passion that spans over a decade.  A second chance romance that was only ignited before it was torn apart.  A novella that hits you hard in all the right ways.  Hang on for a one emotional and sexy ride.

She can’t deny her desire for Anton, even though she suspects he’s hiding a secret even darker than his affiliation with an outlaw MC. As for Rogue, no matter how much he tries to refuse the scorching need he has for Kimber—as much as his duty depends on it—he’s powerless to deny his rising feelings for her. And when a blindside by an enemy he once trusted puts Kimber’s life at risk, Rogue’s tarnished honor is put to the ultimate test.

Anton “Rogue” Balan, also known as Blondie, has just become my new favorite of the Son. The sweet Alpha vampire, as I like to call him, is as sexy and build as the Road King he rides.  Sweet, kind and caring Anton makes you melt in more ways than one. Don’t let that fool you, the man can take you faster than the blink of an eye. Internal struggles, mimicking betrayal and longing have changed Anton. Even in what could be called his darkest hour his loyalty, devotion, and selflessness never waver from his true home.

Kimber is a girl next door type with personally and spunk. Putting her in a class all her own. A good and sweet woman who can stand her ground. Kimber is as straight laced as they come, however she does have this sultry and playful side that you don’t see on the surface.  She’s a fun and extremely likable character.

Patricia Rasey’s fourth installment of the Son of Sangue series, Rogue, has just become my favorite of the series.  Sorry Gypsy!  Anton has upped the game!  Action pack and emotionally driven, Patricia Rasey once again has readers hanging on for dear life while going at breakneck speeds. The stench of betrayal thickens the air, danger is to close to home, secrets unfold as the bonds of Brotherhood are tested to the core.  Chemistry, compassion, passion and lust have infused a desire for things that should not be. Making wants and needs walk a fine line in the Sons dangerous world. And that’s just the beginning. Sexual tension, suspense and extreme loyalty make the foundation for a fast paced story with a twisty plot that pull you in and keeps the pages turning to the wee hours of the morning.  Fantastic storytelling with the perfect balance of romance and suspense, Ms. Rasey delivers a damn fine book.

As a huge fan of the Sons of Sangue series, I recommend that you read the stories in order to fully benefit the this amazing world she has created.  Rogue is a highly recommended book as is the entire Sons of Sangue series.

Excerpt:

“You shouldn’t come here, Kimber. Ever. Do I make myself clear?”

With a roll of her eyes, she snorted. “This isn’t exactly my scene, Anton. Murphy’s Tavern is more my

speed.”

“Good, then I’ll escort you over to that bar.”

Anton reached for her, but she took a step back. Lord, she didn’t need the extra stimulation his touch

caused. Just being in the same room with him had her naughty parts humming with unrequited desire.

Even angry he was all sorts of sexy. Kimber shifted her stance, trying to alleviate the ache centered in

the V of her thighs.

“I’m with a friend.”

“Wolf or Xander?” he all but growled.

“Who?” Her voice rose, having had about enough of his surly attitude. He should be thanking her from

stopping the beating he was about to receive from those two buffoons.

“The two idiots at the bar you were cozying up to.”

“Lord, you’re either blind or stupid.” She ran a hand through her hair in frustration. What the hell did

she see in him? Plenty, her overactive brain reminded her. “I’m here with a coworker. She was on the

dance floor and I was about to order a drink.”

“You in the habit of letting strange men paw you?”

Oh, he so overstepped his boundaries. Her ire shot to the metal roof. “Not since you. I guess I should

thank you for curing me.”

Kimber thought she heard a slight chuckle, but the look on his face didn’t give way to any traces of

humor. “Just in case you might be wondering, I’m a much better fuck than Wolf.”

“The guy with the roaming hands? And you would know this because…” She let it hang in hopes he’d

elaborate. This ought to be good. She’d be damned before she’d feed his ego, even if he no doubt was

better in bed.

“You see any women hanging around Wolf before you arrived at the bar?”

“No, but that doesn’t mean anything. The night is early. He has plenty of time to pick up a date.”

“Looked to me like he was heading in that direction before I opened the door.”

“What about the woman you had in here with you?” Her forefinger indicated the orange sofa in the

corner. “I suppose you were offering her your services on that ugly couch.”

“As I recall, you didn’t complain about my servicing you.”

Her face heated, no sense in pretending he was wrong. The regret was that he’d turned into a Grade A

ass afterward and she hadn’t gotten a second sampling. “I had no complaints.”

Heading home after another extreme mission, Keane “Ghost” Bryson hadn’t planned to seduce someone during his layover, but Rayne is too sweet to resist. Being a Delta Force member means lying to protect his identity, which is unfortunate, considering Rayne seems made for Ghost, right down to the tattoo on her back. For the first time in his life, regret fills him as he slips away the following morning.

Both are shocked when, months later, they meet again—under the worst possible circumstances. Seems fate has given them a second chance…if they can survive the terrorist situation they’re in. If Rayne can forgive Ghost his lies. And if Ghost can trust Rayne to be strong enough to endure the secrets and uncertainty that come with loving a Delta Force soldier.

Ghost is one of those Alpha men you can’t help but to enjoy his presence , even if he’s stubborn and hard headed. The man is walking sex. He’s loyal, a leader and true brother. Humor and passion make Ghost a man to hold on tight to.

Rayne seems to always have some kind of excitement going on. Never a boring moment with her. She’s a strong, confident and witty woman. Her humor and awesome come back will leave a smile on your face while reading.

Susan Stoker once again captivates readers with damn fine writing, well developed characters, and a plot that keeps you going. Rescuing Rayne is a romance, laced edge of your seat read, that you don’t see coming.  A excellent balance of suspense and passion. Ms. Stoker starts the Delta Force Heroes series with a bang.

From Liliana Hart’s New York Times bestselling MacKenzie family comes a new story by USA Today bestselling author Robin Covington…

Atticus Rush doesn’t really like people. Years in Special Ops and law enforcement showed him the worst of humanity, making his mountain hideaway the ideal place to live. But when his colleagues at MacKenzie Security need him to save the kidnapped young daughter of a U.S. Senator, he’ll do it, even if it means working with the woman who broke his heart …his ex-wife.

Lady Olivia Rutledge-Cairn likes to steal things. Raised with a silver spoon and the glass slipper she spent years cultivating a cadre of acquaintances in the highest places. She parlayed her natural gift for theft into a career of locating and illegally retrieving hard-to-find items of value for the ridiculously wealthy. Rush was the one man who tempted her to change her ways…until he caught her and threatened to turn her in.

MacKenzie Security has vowed to save the girl. Olivia can find anything or anyone. Rush can get anyone out. As the clock winds down on the girl’s life, can they fight the past, a ruthless madman and their explosive passion to get the job done?

His exquisite body, quick tongue and no nonsense ways leave readers in thrall of Atticus.

Sasha has experienced the worst type of nightmare a submissive could have. Trust was broken, causing lingering scars on the inside and out.  As Sasha begins to move forward in her healing process, she realizes that denying herself a major part of herself she can never truly heal. Sasha’s a brave and powerful woman. She knows herself and what she wants. The want to overcome an indecent that broke her, makes her a stronger woman than she even realized. Seeing Sasha rediscover who and what she is and learning to trust again is a beautiful and sexy story.

Cole is a true master in every sense of the word. Strong, dominant, commanding and demanding. A truly intense Alpha man.  Cole is given the task of retraining a broken submissive. Having the reputation of being cold and hard, the discovery of a soft, tender side of the man always in control allows the reader truly experience Cole the way he was meant to be!  OMG, Cole will make panties melt.

Sasha and Cole are an unlikely couple who can’t deny they set each other off like no one else.  Cole set the tone as Sasha begins breaks out of the shell of mind.  As trust forms, the rules changes, wants and needs are no longer the same. The game is no more now that hearts are on the line.

Intense, deep and highly erotic!  Tara Sue Me cuts to the soul with the emotional and mental seduction that is The Master.

During a lull in the conversation, he leaned forward and lowered his voice. “There’s a play party

next weekend.”

She froze and he could see her process his words and their meaning before she relaxed. “Yes.”

“Good job, Sasha. You did what I told you to do earlier, didn’t you?” She’d remembered he

wouldn’t touch her without telling her where and how.

“Yes, Sir.”

He nodded. “A fast learner. I like that. I would like for you to attend the party with me.”

He paused, gauging her reaction. Her cheeks were flushed with excitement. “I would like that,”

she said.

“Since the party will be held at Master Greene’s house and I don’t know if he has granite

countertops, I won’t have you wear the black lingerie.”

Her voice was calm when she asked, “What will you have me wear, Sir?”

“I’ll have it sent to you this week.” Let her think about it for a while.

“I look forward to it.”

“We won’t formally participate in any scenes, but you will serve as my submissive.”

Her lips parted and she nodded. “Yes, Sir.”

“Master Greene has asked me if he can apologize for Peter’s actions.” He watched her carefully,

looking for any hint of panic.

“Will Peter be there?” she asked quietly.

“No, in fact I understand that as a result of the phone call, there’s to be a meeting to determine

if he should be allowed to remain in the group.”

Her eyes widened in shock. She hadn’t heard that. He was surprised Julie hadn’t told her, but

then again, Daniel might not have told Julie.

She straightened her shoulders. “In that case, I’m good with Master Greene apologizing.”

“That’s what I told him, but I also said I wanted to check with you

She nodded, but then her gaze grew distant and she looked over his shoulder.

“Everything okay?” he asked. “Are you having second thoughts?”

She slowly returned her focus to him. “No, I’m just thinking about Peter. Now that I can think

about him and not risk an episode, I often find myself wondering if I missed something, some sign.”

“I understand why you’d do that, but your time would be better spent asking yourself what

qualities you’re looking for in a Dom.” He reached into his pocket and took a twenty dollar bill out. “Do

you know how they train people to recognize counterfeit money?”

Her forehead wrinkled and she frowned in puzzlement. “Sir?”

He passed her the twenty. “They don’t give them the counterfeit bills to study. They only touch

and hold the real thing. They become so accustomed to the real money that they immediately recognize

the fraud.”

“I’m not sure I understand what you’re trying to say, Sir.”

“Focus on what you want from a Dom, how you want him to treat you. Think through the

characteristics of a Dom you’d like to play with. That way when you meet someone and you get to know

him, you’ll recognize if he’s a fraud or not.”

She nodded.

“To make sure you understand, I want you to make a list of your top ten requirements from a

Dom. We’ll go over it next time we meet.”

Her gaze grew wistful again, but she smiled and replied with a soft, “Yes, Sir.”

About Hard Ever After:

Justice served. Honor restored. Team reunited.

After a long battle to discover the truth, the men and women of Hard Ink have a lot to celebrate, especially the wedding of two of their own—Nick Rixey and Becca Merritt, whose hard-fought love deserves a happy ending.

As Nick and the team shift from crisis mode to building their new security consulting firm, Becca heads back to work at the ER. But amid the everyday chaos of demanding jobs and their upcoming nuptials, an old menace they thought long gone reemerges, threatening the peace they’ve only just found.

Now, for one last time, Nick and Becca must fight for their always and forever, because they know that when true love overcomes all the odds it lasts hard ever after.

Hard Ever After - RWB Teaser 1

Excerp:

Nick pulled her bra strap off to the side. “Ready?”

“Very,” Becca said, butterflies doing a small loop in her belly.

The tattoo machine came to life on a low buzz. “Just relax and let me know if you need a break, okay?” he said, dipping the tip into a little plastic cup of black ink.

“Okay.” His gloved hands fell against her skin, and then the needles. Almost a scratching feeling, it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as she thought it would. And just like when he’d drawn on her with skin markers, she was already dying to see what it looked like.

“How you doing?” he asked in a voice full of concentration she found utterly sexy. Just the thought that he was permanently altering her skin—just like he’d permanently altered her heart, her life, her very soul—sent a hot thrill through her blood.

“I’m good,” she said, relaxing into the sensation of the bite moving across her skin. “Is it weird that I kinda like how it feels?”

He didn’t answer right away as the needle moved in a long line. He pulled the machine away and wiped at her shoulder. “Not weird at all,” he said, his voice a little gravelly. “Some people like the sensation and even find getting tattoos addictive.”

“I can see that,” she said. He worked without talking for a stretch, and the combination of the quiet intensity radiating off of him, the driving rock beat, and the buzz of the machine was heady and intoxicating. She found herself breathing a little faster and wanting so much more of him to be touching so much more of her. If she thought he was sexy putting ink on someone else, it was nothing compared to how she felt when he was doing it to her.

“What are you thinking about so hard?” Nick asked, his breath caressing her bare shoulder.

“Really want to know?” she asked, already smiling at what his reaction might be.

“Always,” he said, wiping at her skin. He dipped the machine in the ink and leaned in again.

“How turned on this is making me.” She really wanted to turn to see his expression but knew she wasn’t supposed to move.

He pulled the machine away again. “Jesus, Becca. You’re killing me here.”

She grinned. “I asked if you really wanted to know.”

Nick chuffed out a laugh. “Yeah, well, I’ve never had a fucking hard-on the entire time I’ve done a tattoo before, so you’re not the only one.”

Becca unleashed a small moan. “Now you’ve got me thinking about your cock, Nick.” She couldn’t help the hint of a whine in her voice.

“You’ll never convince me that that’s a bad thing, Sunshine.”

futrueProtecting the Future

Susan Stoker

SEAL of Protection Series, Book 8

Kindle Edition, 317 pages
Published January 12th 2016
Wolf and his fellow SEAL team members have saved many lives, and been in even more harrowing situations, but their latest mission might prove the most difficult of all. Charged with rescuing American soldier, Sergeant Penelope Turner, from the clutches of ISIS, the men infiltrate the refugee camp where she’s believed to be held. The conditions are horrific, the search nearly impossible, but Penelope herself could prove the key to their success…if the SEALs can interpret her clues.

An unforgiving desert, perilous mountain terrain, a rising body count and insurgents on the hunt…all of this and more stands between the SEALs completing their mission and returning home to their women, left to bravely deal with fears of their own stateside.

Sometimes a mission is more than one team can handle. With a little help from newfound friends, the SEALS won’t stop until they’ve won the day. Failure is not an option.

** Protecting the Future is the 8th and final book in the Seal of Protection Series. Each book is a stand-alone, with no cliffhanger endings.

4.5 Stars

Susan Stoker overwhelms readers in the best  way with the conclusion to her Seal Of Protection Series, Protecting the Future.
This was a book you didn’t just read, you felt it. Passion, joy, worry, friendship, faith and hope grip your heart as you hold your breath with the turn of the page.  As the Seal Team heads out for their lasted mission Ms. Stoker reminds readers of why all the men fight for what they do and women who stand beside them.
An overwhelming good book. Drama, passion and danger keep the story moving. While love, anticipation and family give the reader all things we love in a romance.  Ms. Stoker’s intricately written words take the reader into the story.  Making it more of an experience than a read.
