“What the fuck happened out here?” Danielle asked, her arm suddenly around my shoulders. I immediately felt better. Danielle and I balanced each other out perfectly—she was batshit crazy and insanely optimistic. Make that dangerously, recklessly optimistic. As for me, I spent nearly all my time focused on staying sane and getting ahead. That didn’t leave much time for things like actually living my life.
We’d met each other our senior year of high school, when she’d offered to drive me back and forth to town in her shiny new Jeep Wrangler. This spared me from the horror of sharing a battered school bus with every hormonal teen living in the greater Callup metropolitan area. After a particularly harrowing ride home in her car one night (long story short, it took us six hours to travel thirty miles and by the time we pulled into town, we had matching tattoos of chipmunks wearing scarves) I decided it was my job to keep her from accidentally killing herself.
In return, she pushed me to do fun things, reminding me at least once a week that I was only twenty-one and perhaps the fate of the universe didn’t literally rest on whether or not I balanced my checkbook to the penny. Along the way, she taught me how to do smoky eye makeup, how not to freak out when a guy asked me to dance, and how to “borrow” music off the Internet. (When I pointed out that “borrowing” music was stealing, she agreed and started using iTunes for her downloads. To finance this, she “borrowed” her dad’s credit card.)
“Well, apparently me and Blake no longer work here,” I said, leaning my head against her. “I don’t know if you’re fired or not.”
“Fuck that,” Danielle declared. “Eva can kiss my ass. If you’re out, I’m out.”
“You weren’t even part of it,” I protested.
“I don’t care. You’re a much better waitress than I am. If she fired you, no way I’d last there anyway. Let’s go get drunk!”

Smart, beautiful, quick-tongued, sassy and determined, Rubi seems to have it all to the outside world. Sweet, romantic and a genuine caring person, Wes is kind of like the guy next door who much hotter and has a need for dangerous thrills.
Flirtatious personalities, instant chemistry and a connection upon first sight, Wes and Rubi heat the pages and tear your heart at the same time. I was so surprised by Rubi. I would have never guessed her wounds ran as deep as they do. Completely changing the way I looked at her. Making Rubi a far richer character than I thought she would be. Wes has an amazing patience and determination that amazed me. This is one of those don’t judge a book by it’s cover stories. What you see on the surface is not even the beginning of the depth, emotion and passion this ride is going to send you on.
Piper Goodeve’s narration of this sexy and emotional tale is nothing less than excellent.

The Beta is hotter than the Alpha!
It’s very hard not to smile when Dimitri’s presence is on the page. The wolf is sexy as sin, dominating, charismatic and witty. He has the strength of an alpha and a laid back quality making him the perfect beta. She makes you want to get to know them, to care about them and even think a naughty thought or two. Add in Ryan West’s narration, Dimitri is almost too hot to handle. Becca is the textbook definition of a survivor. The poor girl has been to hell and back more times than she can probably count. Suffering from horrors that no one, let alone a teenager should have to go through. Used as a pawn as to whatever means to met her sadistic parents wants or needs for the moment. I would say Becca has good reasons for her anger issues, her temper and the fact that those memories still haunt her. Underneath all the anger is a sweet, soft and loving woman, who will take you down if she must.
Puck had just become my new favorite biker. Too wise for his age, an old soul in a hot sexy body. The best day of Pucks life just so happens to coincide with the worst. Hours after getting his patch, he indulges in temptation risking his new freedom. The dominating, hard-core, bad ass is no saint. He will get what he wants, how and when he wants. Not caring how it has to happen. Alpha biker, born and bred. His loyalty and devotion, not only for the club but for those he feels he needs to protect is truly remarkable and immeasurable.

“The Longnecks—they’re the MC my stepdad hung around with—they kept a lot of club whores around. Do the Silver Bastards do that, too?”
“Yup,” she replied. “It’s a free country and the brothers bring guests here all the time. Some of them stick around, some of them don’t. Some find they aren’t as welcome as they thought.”
“Doesn’t that bother you?”
“Boonie’s dick is the only one that matters to me,” she replied, her voice matter-of-fact. “As for the women, I care less about who they’re sleeping with than how they act the rest of the time. Like I said, fuck with the sisters and you won’t last. Bridget won’t be back if she keeps this shit up.”

Chance encounters, spontaneous actions and rising passion!
For anyone who enjoys astrology, it’s always fun to see when two people of the same sign couple. Both are so alike but yet different. It could be an explosion, of both good and bad waitien. Heather longs novella Lust Actually begins the Tempting Signs with the Aries. The ram, spontaneous and optimistic people by nature also inpatient and egotistical. They are kind of hardheaded but have the mind to get things done.
Ethan and Nora have it in every way possible. The chemistry is off the charts, their personalities complement each other, the passion and lust is instantaneous. They knew how to have fun without trying too hard to have fun. Ethan’s charisma and personality along with his mannerisms and charm had me wanting to be right next to him. Norah’s honest, fun and even though it pained her at times she has this go with the flow attitude that I had to admire.
Heather Long gave great characters a fun and sexy story spotlighting all the qualities of the Aries sign. A quick read that will have you laughing as the pages get steamy.

Sometimes you have to go backwards to move forward.
Random and Rare is just that. A series of moments and events seen from another side in a completely different light. Changing memories and deepening love both past and present. Not shedding a new light, but definitely adding a new perspective a crazy story.
Dig was a hard living, badass man with a heart I would not mind having a piece of. Seeing things through his eyes made him a completely different character than I had perceived from the prior book. He had conscience to him that we don’t see in all the bikers we read about. He broken my heart and made me love him over and over.
Please note: You should read Lock and Key, book 1. As Random and Rare is a prelude and an extension of the first book. I don’t think a read could truly appreciate what the story is without reading the first book.
