They liked to call me names. Manwhore. Slut. Player. But I make wrong look so right…He’s a flawed perfectionist…
I can read women better than any blueprint. I understand their thoughts and feelings, their secret desires and insecurities, and I know how to get rid of them once I get off.But all bets are off when Tiel Desai slams into my life. She redefines what it means to be friends, and she makes it sound like the filthiest thing I’ve ever heard.I can’t read the gorgeous conservatory-trained violinist, but she’s the only one keeping me from shattering by small degrees, and I can’t let her go.

She’s wildly independent…
My past—and New Jersey—are far behind me, and now my life is blissfully full of music: playing, teaching, and lecturing, and scouring Boston’s underground scene with an annoyingly beautiful, troubled, tattooed architect.

I’m defenseless against his rooftop kisses, our nearly naked dance parties, the snuggletimes that turn into sexytimes, and his deep, demanding voice.

I have Sam Walsh stuck in my head like a song on repeat, and I’m happy pretending history won’t catch up with me.

The one thing they have in common is a rock-solid disregard for the rules.
They find more in each other than they ever realized they were missing, but they might have to fall apart before they can come together.

It’s the wrongs that make the rights come to life.

Sam is nothing like I perceived him to be. He’s neurotic, a bit of a pervert and anxiety ridden. Meeting Sam in the previous books in the Walsh series, I never would have guessed what going on behind his closed door.  Sam is a complex man who is tied in lots of knots.

Tiel is a free spirit and rebel all-in-one. I really enjoyed the complexity of her character. She’s a bit sassy, a little quirky and so passionate.  A woman that has music running through her veins.   Tiel is the kind of woman that can unravel you and put you back together in a few moments.

Kate Canterbary could not have put two more opposite people together. Tiel and Sam begin this mix match friendship that steadily builds to something more by being themselves and having fun. Heavy emotions with laugh out loud snark. Passionate and a little pervy, Tiel brought a welcome noise to Sam’s quite world.

I really love that music played such a strong role in Necessary Restorations.  I will also love Tiel just for the nature of who she is and the good she is doing.

Some lines are meant to be crossed.

Patrick
That hair. That fucking hair. It was everywhere, always, and I wanted to tangle my fingers in those dark curls and pull. And that would be fine if she wasn’t my apprentice.

Andy Asani was nothing like I expected. She was exotic and scary-brilliant, and the slightest murmur from those lips sent hot, hungry lust swirling through my veins. Outside my siblings, she was the only person I could name who shared my obsession with preserving Boston’s crumbling buildings.

Andy
My wants were few: good eats, tall boots, hot yoga, interesting work. One incredibly hot architect with the most expressive hazel eyes I ever encountered and entirely too much talent in and out of the bedroom wasn’t part of the original plan. Apparently he was part of the package.

Wine was my rabbi and vodka was my therapist, and I needed plenty of both to survive my apprenticeship. Especially with Patrick Walsh leaving love notes in the form of bite marks all over my body.

Kate Canterbary continues steam up the kindle with the Walshs in The Space Between.

Andy is not your average girl. She’s a bit of a Geek. Beyond smart and willing to step up to the plate to get what she wants. She has a dry humor and her me it took a bit for me to really get her personality. Independent, somewhat mysterious and maybe a bit hard headed, Andy is a bit hard to figure out but once you do your realize there is a depth to her. Having a Harry Potter related tattoos does give her points in my book.

Patrick caught my eye when we first meet him in Underneath It All. Patrick is a take no crap and get the job done kind of guy. He’s the eldest of the Walsh family, a workaholic and damn good at what he does. A man who’s in control until a geeky intern cracks his foundation. Shedding some of the tough outer layers we realize the Patrick is really a funny guy with a great heart. The comical drunk texting and that dirty talking mouth on him show a side of Patrick that I would’ve never guessed was there. I liked him before I knew his story. I like him even more now.

Intense and funny. We dive deeper into the Walsh family, while seeing two head strong people fall bat shit crazy for each other. Attraction and chemistry are in abundance for Patrick and Andy, there personalities work for each other even if the stubbornness get in the way at times. They are overwhelmingly sexy together. Just read. We get more insight into the Walsh family history and learn more the dynamics behind the personalities of this intense family. Kate Canterbary is winner my heart with the Walsh family.

Review: Underneath It All by Kate Canterbary

The Walshes, Book 1

Expected publication: October 21st 2014

If I had known I’d have a hot architect balls deep inside of me before the end of the weekend, I’d have made time for a pedicure.

Lauren
It’s all the little things—the action plans, the long-kept promises—that started falling apart when my life slipped into controlled chaos.

After I met Matthew Walsh.

I couldn’t decide whether I wanted to run screaming or rip his pants off, and most days I wanted a little of both. If I was being honest with myself, it was rip his pants off, ride him like a workhorse, and then run screaming.

Matthew
A rebellious streak ran through Lauren Halsted. It was fierce and unrelentingly beautiful, and woven through too many good girl layers to count, and she wasn’t letting anyone tell her what to do.

Unless, of course, she was naked.

She wasn’t looking for me and I sure as shit wasn’t looking for her, but we found each other anyway and now we were locked in a battle of wills, waiting for the other to blink.

Sometimes the universe conspires to bring people together. Other times, it throws people down a flight of stairs and leaves them in a bruised and bloodied heap

3.5 Stars

Smart, sassy and bossy teacher Lauren has her sights set on one goal. To get her school off the ground. Being the daughter and sister to navy seals, it has been instilled in her to never give up. She’s strong, independent and focused. Even a bit of a klutz. A lover of shoes and pretty underwear, Lauren is a girly girl underneath. Her sassiness who make you laugh. A hardheaded woman only seeing straight in front of her.

Matthew is an architect whose job is his passion. His way with number is cute in a that geeky way. Beyond smart and sexy to boot. Matthew has some rather caveman like tendencies that it times are annoying and others are sexy beyond belief. When a client stumbles into his arms, Matthew wants a little more than his work obsessed life.

Underneath It All was a surprise of a book for me. It’s so much more than just a naughty teacher story. A story with emotions that are overwhelming and family. Being so ingrossed in something that the fear of doing anything else will put you off track. A story about making one’s own family. A story about setting and achieving goals. With lots of passionate, wild and steamy romance to keep you turning the pages of this heartfelt story.
