ARC Review: Commanded by Stacey Kennedy
Stacey Kennedy
Club Sin series, Book 6
A dedicated cop, Sawyer Quinn blows off steam by immersing himself in his role as a Master at the hottest club in Las Vegas. But when Sawyer goes after the perp who brutally beat his sister, he teams up with Chloe Nash, a sexy private investigator who awakens a sweet new need: to keep her to himself, away from the dungeon of Club Sin. Chloe is beautiful, smart, and too innocent for the BDSM lifestyle. Sawyer’s never wanted a woman like this before. Is her love worth swearing off the one thing that keeps him sane?
There’s something different about Sawyer: a commanding strength that pulls Chloe into a vortex of heady desire. But when she learns about his double life as a Dom, she’s shocked—and afraid she could never complete him. Then he saves her life, and just like that, Chloe knows she will be able to give him anything he desires. She is his—wherever and however he wants to take her.
5 Stars
Stacey Kennedy makes me shiver!
Sawyer is hot, sexy, dirty talking, Alpha Dom and cop. He’s looking for more than just a good time. He wants love. Chloe is sweet, innocent and very vanilla PI. A woman who can stand her ground and go toe to toe with the best of them.
The sixth installment of the Club Sin series is a little different from the previous in the series. Showing another side of the passion that lies within the realm of BDSM. The chemistry is through the roof in Commanded. Chloe and Sawyer have an instant connection. Their personalities complement each other making the passion more intense. Sawyer opens a door to a world that overwhelms Chloe. Both good and bad. Leaving what could be real love hanging in the balance.

Review: Willfully Compelled by Senayda Pierre
Senayda Pierre
Unintentional Sacrifices, #1
A once kaleidoscope-colored land is now brown. Water sources have become nonexistent leaving behind only lethal bodies of water. Animals and people disappear beneath the tempting waters never to resurface.
As the world falls apart the twins become separated. Alone and injured, Lysandra ventures forward trying to locate and reunite with her family. Instead she slips beneath the river’s surface discovering a new world where no human has ever survived before.
A prophecy. A dying world. Twins, Leondra and Lysandra are compelled to make the ultimate sacrifice for an entirely new world.
Book One of the Unintentional Sacrifices Series.
Containes mature content.
Unintentional Sacrifices, #3.5 StarsI want to start out by saying this is not my normal read. With that, I was pleasantly surprised with the uniqueness that is Willfully Compelled.
Hands down the world building is what made this book for me. Ms. Pierre has richly created this post apocalyptic type world. With a great eye for detail, she leads the reader into crumbling dismay and desolation. And at the same time enticing the reader to continue on the journey to the stories end.
Mixing a prophecy with some sci-fi and some steamy romance makes for very interesting read. I have to say that this book is nothing like I have read this year. The uniqueness of the storyline and the world building keep me turning the pages.
ARC Review: Gypsy by Patricia A. Rasey
Patricia A Rasey
Sons Of Sangue Series
Book 3
Published: April 28. 2015
e-book
Grayson “Gypsy” Gabor loves the ladies. As a matter of fact, the more the merrier. Life is good. That is until a mishap with a sexy-as-hell redhead leaves them mated. The eldest of vampires, Vlad Tepes, gives him a choice: Keep her or give her up for all eternity to his one-time best friend, Anton.
Tamera Cantrell sets her sights on the Vice President of the Sons of Sangue, Gypsy. But after a night gone wrong, she finds herself caught between one vampire who hates her and one who adores her. Now Tamera’s only got three short months to prove to the one who despises her that he can’t live without her.
Add in one Mexican Cartel, a vindictive primordial vampire, and a rival MC out for blood, and Gypsy has his hands full with club business. When Tamera’s life becomes endangered, Gypsy must act quick or chance losing her forever.
5 Stars!
Pissed off and twisted is not a good look on Sons of Sangue VP, Gypsy. The ladies man of the MC has found his self between a rock and a hard place without his own doing. Putting him in an asshole state from hell. Gypsy, the brother I love and hate. His eyes capture, his body will entice and his presence causes panty dropping lust to erupt. Gypsy is walking, talking, sin on a bike. An ego bigger than most, accustomed to getting what he wants, and so hypocritical he needs to take a looking in a mirror, Gypsy battles himself with the decision that will change him not matter the choice.
Want, need and desire have Tamera caught up in a web of craziness. With no choice but to go along for the ride. Tamera’s mishap sets in motion a whirlwind of chaos within the MC. Leaving her freedom, life and love lingering on the fingertips of an enraged vampire. I am still on the fence about Tamera. One thing I will say is the woman has some balls. Making me want to high five her and smack her within a minutes time.
Intensity is an understatement for the hot mess that plagues the Sons Of Sangue in GYPSY. Deceit is thick in the air. Brotherhood is tested. Revenge is a must. Sexual tension is taken to a new level. That’s just the beginning. Patricia Rasey has the reader going full throttle into a wicked storm. Action from beginning to end, twists that hit you like a brass knuckled fist and lust building like a bomb waiting to go off. Great flippin book!
My anticipation for Gypsy’s book was extremely high before it was ever written. I lost sleep and sequestered myself in my car for more time then I’m willing to admit to finish this book. Was it worth it? Your damn right it was. I cussed at my kindle, screamed at fictional characters, my jaw dropped more than once and lusted after a man that doesn’t exist. Am I pathetic, maybe, maybe not. Ms. Rasey captures and captivate her audience with intriguing characters, an amazing storyline, and jaw dropping moments. Giving this reader the best book hangover ever. A 2015 top read for me.
Review: Matter of Time by Alannah Lynne
Matter of Time
Alannah Lynne
Heat Wave Series, Book 5
Published April 21st 2015 by Alannah Lynne
Some might think the phrase, “you complete me” is a just cheesy line from the movies, but Lizbeth Sanders knows better…
In MATTER OF TIME, Lizbeth has spent the past fifteen years desperately searching for someone to fill the void left by Logan Steele’s disappearance from her life. However, rather than finding love and happiness, all she’s found is disappointment, heartache, and an ever-present longing for the man she can never have.
Fifteen years ago, Logan Steele left the woman he loved to marry his high school sweetheart and be a father to the child he didn’t know he had. He’s always tried to do the honorable thing, to be a good husband and a great father, but despite his sacrifices and best efforts, the shaky foundation of his marriage crumbles and falls apart.
When his identical twin surprises him with a reintroduction to Lizbeth, Logan feels like he’s been given a second chance—at life and love. But a lot can change in fifteen years, and after hurting her so badly the first time, building trust isn’t just hard, it’s nearly impossible—especially when duty and obligation pulls him away again.
4 Stars
Logan is one of the most admirable men I have read in a long time. Severing ties and breaking his own heart, to do in his mind and most people’s eyes the right and proper thing to do. Fifteen years later, Logan’s world has changed but his heart and soul are still with the woman he walked away from. He’s determined to show her that he is where she belongs.
Lizbeth gave part of herself away fifteen years ago and never got it back. Holding every man to this day in comparison to the one that had to walk away. She has made a life for herself, however it’s been a lonely one. A chance encounter, a set up, and club of exotic desires putting Lizbeth’s fantasies right before her eyes.
Logan and Lizbeth’s chemistry will leave you smokin in Matter of Time. Rekindling love is not the proper term for this story. It’s more like reuniting of soulmates. Two people leaving such an impact on one another that they have carried pieces of other since parting. Never feeling whole. Ms. Lynne somehow put all those complex feeling into words. Creating a story with fun and likable characters, lust spanning years, love deeper than words can express, and a few moments that make you think.
Matter of Time is my first read my Alannah Lynne will not be my last.

Serenity Series, Book 1
Narrator: Julia Farmer
Only Sebastian has a dark secret; he is a vampire.
As Serenity’s life takes a terrifying turn, she finds herself drawn into a world she never knew existed; one of murder, love, and immortality. She is forced to confront her own weaknesses to save both her own life and that of the vampire she has come to love. But in the end all that matters is; can she find the strength to be
4 Stars
Marissa Farrar gives the reader a very lifelike interpretation of what living through domestic violence is life. Not skating around or sugarcoating the difficult topics and manages to draw the reader into an amazing story that will tear at your hear and make you think.
Serenity and Sebastian are both survivors. Making the dynamic of their relationship deeper than most. Also opening a world of new dangers for them both. Giving the reader a story with intense topics, action, complex characters and a bit of passion.
Julia Farmer’s narration adds to the depth and complexity of not only the characters, but the story as a whole.
I look forward to seeing what the next chapter of the Serenity series holds.
Review: Only Trick by Jewel E. Ann
Jewel E. Ann
I’m a recovering drug addict.
My inked skin crawls from lustful eyes.
I have a serious aversion to women.
My gay partner is a home wrecker.
I own a gun and I’m a damn good shot.
I’m a makeup artist, but it’s an insult to my talent.
I’ve never wanted to possess anything except my Ducati … until I met Darby.
Now here’s what I know since that day in the ER when she pieced me back together … nothing—but a few random thoughts.
My new “friend” is distracting, clingy, and obsessed with acronyms, emojis, and phrases like “breakfast soul mates.”
I didn’t want to like her, but she crawled under my skin and swallowed me whole. Now we’re best friends and she’s my new addiction. I’d drink her from a shot glass, snort her up my nose, or inject her into my veins if I could. What I won’t do … is ever tell her that.
She doesn’t know me … I don’t know me. When those missing years come back, I think she will hate me … I think I will hate me.
My parents named me Patrick Roth, and this is my story.
Only Trick was an interesting read for me.
Trick is this dark and intense guy, who’s book is nothing like its cover. Sexy, cocky and mysterious.
Darby knows there is more to the world than money. Caring, socially awkward and funny.
These two take friendship to a new level. Darby’s bluntness and Trick’s general dislike of women make an interesting story. As the friendship changed to something unexpected and truths are revealed a whole new side to Only Trick unfolds. I really enjoyed the first half of the books or so. Writing is spot on. Plot is great. The characters really made the story. As the plot unfold in the last part of the book, just really did not appeal to me. The big reveal in my eye, took from the story rather than enhancing it. Sadly changing the way I felt for the book as a whole.

Tempting Signs Series

Fated Desires Publishing
12 Authors. 12 Zodiac Signs. 1 Explosive Series. What seductive, contemporary romance will you find today? GEMINI.
Whoever said fighters can’t be lovers was never a fighter. Any fighter knows that to succeed, he has to be honest with himself – brutally honest. A real fighter knows his strengths, his weaknesses. And he fights and lives with them in mind, no holds barred.
Grant’s weakness is Daniel, an up-and-coming welterweight who once lived, breathed and trained with him before skipping town for the West Coast. Daniel’s weakness is Grant, a light heavyweight champion who disrupted Daniel’s life with an addictive intensity he’s never found in anyone else.
Lila is a woman who grew up cageside and inhabits the same world as Grant and Daniel, a rose among thorns. She’s completely unlike the women they’re used to. And when they’re honest with themselves, they know she’s what they need to be complete.
Ranae Rose scorches readers with her installment in the Tempting Signs series, Gemini Rising. A quick read that will cause the sweat to drip in and out of the ring. Daniel and Grant’s past love affair cause lingering feeling and a lot of tension in their present. Lila’s attraction to and from both men has her head in a tail spin. Wishing for taboo fantasies to be real. Whether you prefer the term ménage or polyamory, this m/m/f story is hot. Raw passion and emotions make a sinfully good read. Not a conventional relationship. Very heavy on the male/male. If that is your cup of tea, Gemini Rising is one for you.

Then it’s just a matter of crushing her fears, shattering her barriers, and convincing her that loving him is everything she’s been missing in her life, too.
Piece of cake.
4 Stars
Smart, beautiful, quick-tongued, sassy and determined, Rubi seems to have it all to the outside world. Sweet, romantic and a genuine caring person, Wes is kind of like the guy next door who much hotter and has a need for dangerous thrills.
Flirtatious personalities, instant chemistry and a connection upon first sight, Wes and Rubi heat the pages and tear your heart at the same time. I was so surprised by Rubi. I would have never guessed her wounds ran as deep as they do. Completely changing the way I looked at her. Making Rubi a far richer character than I thought she would be. Wes has an amazing patience and determination that amazed me. This is one of those don’t judge a book by it’s cover stories. What you see on the surface is not even the beginning of the depth, emotion and passion this ride is going to send you on.
Piper Goodeve’s narration of this sexy and emotional tale is nothing less than excellent.
This audiobook is part of my private library.

5 Stars
The Beta is hotter than the Alpha!
It’s very hard not to smile when Dimitri’s presence is on the page. The wolf is sexy as sin, dominating, charismatic and witty. He has the strength of an alpha and a laid back quality making him the perfect beta. However finding himself in a predicament that the solution is no better than the problem itself, Dimitri finds even the strong answer to the call of their beast.
Smart, fierce and cunning Gillian is unique among the shifters. So unique it has kept her running from the wolves. Gillian is not the woman you want to be messing with. Her very nature gives her strength and abilities to hold her own. Her uniqueness is also a plague making her gifts sought out. A fighter and a giver,
Dimitri is a fast paced story that perfectly captures the essence of New Orleans. The mixing of wolves, witches and vampires gives a fast paced tale of deception, suspense, witty humor and southern charm. Kim Grosso has this majestic, sensuous and alluring ability to make a reader want to stay lost in her world. Her characters have unique personalities, charm and charisma. She makes you want to get to know them, to care about them and even think a naughty thought or two. Add in Ryan West’s narration, Dimitri is almost too hot to handle. Not to mention, this book contains one of the BEST m/f/m menage scenes I have ever read. You want to get lost? Read Dimitri!
