Review: Wild Spirit by Mari Carr

Wild Spirit

Mari Carr

Wilder Irish Series, Book 8

Published September 3, 2019

Maybe if things were different, Leo could date the woman he’s always longed for, the free-spirited Yvonne Collins. For her, life is an adventure, for him, life is all about work and keeping things simple so he can focus on his son.

When a tragic event upends Leo’s orderly existence, he’s forced to admit he can’t do it all and he can’t do it alone. Yvonne feels like exactly what Leo doesn’t need, until she shows him chaos isn’t always bad and letting go isn’t the same thing as losing control.

4.5 Stars

I know two things for sure when ever I pick up a Mari Carr book. One, I know I’m getting a good laugh and two, the romance of the story will be epic. Wild Spirit, the eighth book of the Wilder Irish Series is a fantastic friends to lovers tale.

Yvonne is a wild spirit. As she says living life like a Collins. She independent, confident and contagious. Vonnie is the best type of person to be around. A woman that can go with the flow yet knows when to step in and put her foot done. Being an only child may have spoiled Yvonne, yet the woman shares every bit of what she has. Vonnie is a unique soul.

Leo is a workaholic and a man who stands by his word. He’s also a tatted up hottie to boot. Leo is one of the good guys. He’s Dedicated to his job and his family, which do you coincide. Leo’s life took a tumble but through the struggle he learn what friends are for. He also learned that sometimes friends are more than you think the are.

Wild Spirit is fantastic. Leo and Yvonne are each other’s yin and yang. Their friendship is something both treasure dearly yet Yvonne lingering crush and Leo realizing there’s more that meets the eye makes them both see each other in a new and different light. These two are fun together. Through the ups and downs, trying to make it work, smoothing out the hiccups Leo and Yvonne will make the reader smile. There compassion for each other just adds to the passion they discover together. Let me tell you, these two are not as sweet as you may think. I do believe they could rival each other in a dirty talking contest. We will have to flip a coin to figure out the winner. Lol!

Mari Carr has this way of capturing her readers in so many ways with her stories. Whether it be through laughter and humor, emotion and healing or passion and steaminess, she will hook you one way or another. Luckily for us readers, we get all of that in Wild Spirit.

Review: All Roads Lead to You by Jennifer Probst

 All Roads Lead to You

Jennifer Probst

Stay Series, Book 3

Published July 23rd 2019 by Montlake Romance

All bets are off in this heartfelt romance by New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst.

Happily single, Harper Bishop trusts in only one passion—her rescue farm and healing her thoroughbred, Phoenix. Her dream is to lead him to the Triple Crown. But how unreachable is it without experience or help? A handsome new guest at her family’s B&B has what it takes to make it come true. And with his irresistible brogue, warm smile, and soothing touch, he’s a major distraction.

After a bitter betrayal, horse trainer Aidan O’Connor has fled Ireland for a vacation in New York’s Hudson Valley. When he sees the horse with the fighting spirit, he’s inspired with a new goal: to train Phoenix to win. He’s also facing an unexpected new challenge: his feelings for Harper.

How can she dare to open her heart to a man who’ll be there only long enough to break it?

So Harper and Aidan agree: try to keep it professional, and focus only on Phoenix and the finish line. But along the way, they could also learn a few lessons in love, trust, and taking chances. And, as painful as it promises to be, saying goodbye.

Looking for that slow burn kind of book……

All Road Lead to You is just that. Jennifer Probst’s third book in the Stay Series is the story of Harper Bishop and Aidan O’Connor.

Harper and Aidan both are animal lovers to the core. Both loners by nature find an unexpected bond through the common passion for animals. Both have been burned and tread lightly on the ground of love.  There is no lack of attraction or chemistry, just hard headed people who had broken hearts. All Road lead to you is not just Harper and Aidan’s story. The animals play just as big of a part of the story as the human characters do. Phoenix will melt your heart. Even if your not a horse lover. Ms. Probst inserted a level of intimacy to the story that I was not expecting.

ARC Review: Luscious by Melissa Schroeder

Luscious

Melissa Schroeder

Camos and Cupcakes Series, Book 2

Published August 2019 by Harmless Publishing

When by the book Harry Bradley gets thrown together with his sister’s best friend EJ, opposites don’t just attract, they explode.

She’s my sister’s best friend. A woman who calls to me on every level, but she can’t stand me. Our one date ended when she deemed it over and left–before we even ordered food. So I shouldn’t want her.

But I do.

Still, I’ve mastered controlling my emotions and my lusting…well, mostly. Of course, when she suggests we work together to promote both of our businesses, I jump at the chance. That chance leads to a kiss…and so much more.

Now, if I can just restrain my control freak ways, all will be well.

Warning: This book includes more cupcakes (of course), meddling friends, romance book references, a gun-toting Grandma, a trip out of state, wine, more cupcakes, and a dirty talking hero who not only surprised the heroine, but also this author. I’m not embarrassed…not really. Okay, maybe a little…a lot. Never mind. Just know that you have been warned and I will not be held responsible for any blushing in public. Also…CUPCAKES.

4 Stars

From the concept, to the characters, to the storyline, what’s not to love. Melissa Schroeder gots something special going on with her Camos and Cupcakes Series.  The second book of the series, Luscious gives readers the icing on the cake on with an emotional, fun and sexy read. Harry and EJ are decadent together.

Harry is one fine Texas man. What can I say, Harry is giving all my favorite Santini men a run for their money. Charming, a smile to stop you in your tracks, and a mouth you never see coming.  Smart, caring and as Harry says his momma raised him right. He’s charismatic and full of personality. Harry is fun character.

EJ is a spit fire of a southern belle if there ever was one. She’s strong, independent and in control of her life. Seeing love fail first hand has steered her clear. Being the owner of a romance only bookstore is kind of a contradiction to EJ’s way of thinking. In EJ’s mind happily ever after‘s are for books not for life.

Harry and EJ shared an evening together months back that they both referred to as the date from hell. It may have been a date from hell, but their chemistry and their bodies didn’t agree with that. Fast forward to the present and you’re both trying to fight the crush is a decade in the making and what chemistry is doing to them. I love the dynamic between Harry and EJ. The back-and-forth banter between these two is downright hysterical at times.  As they give into the chemistry that’s when the emotional side of the story comes into play. They are explosive. Hot doesn’t even begin to discribe what these two do to each other. When one doesn’t want to believe in love and then realizes they’re in love that’s some emotional turmoil in the making. The way Harry stands by EJ, shows her support and is there for her, even after a heated argument shows what kind of man Harry is. Even if he does do the man thing. Men!  EJ learns for herself what love can be and is. Slow Harry help pull away some of those layers of hurt and replaced them with happiness.

Luscious is what I love in my romance reads. Fun and sexy. Emotional and heated. Good characters with great personalities. Harry and EJ will knock your socks off. Bold and brazen and a healthy dose of dirty talk. You will love Harry by the time you read the end.  Luscious is just that, a truly luscious read!

Warning: This book will trigger your need for something very sweet.

Falling With You

Carrie Ann Ryan

Fractured Connections Series, Book 3

Published: July 16, 2019

 NYT bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan concludes a brand new series where second chances don’t come often, and overcoming an unexpected loss means breaking everything you knew.

The day I lost my best friend was the day I realized that I’d been living in the past. I’ve tried to find a way to heal, to mend that break. Somehow, I came through it partially whole. But I know I couldn’t have done that without Aiden Connolly.

The problem is, he once loved my best friend. And now she’s gone, and I refuse to be in that shadow, or worse, a replacement for someone we both loved.

~~

I left them all behind.

My brother.

My family.

My best friend.

And her.

Only Sienna Knight doesn’t realize what she means to me. But before I can make sure she knows, I need to figure out exactly what that is.

 4.5 Stars

Falling With You is an emotional and intimate story of friend to somewhat enemies to lovers. And one I have been waiting for. Sienna and Aiden bickering and banter since the beginning of the series has had these two in my sights.

Aiden is an extraordinary and amazing chef. A man who can make amazing food and has a caring nature that you have to look beyond the layers to see. Aiden is a brute of a man at times but once you get to know him and see beyond the cover, is a man you may have never expected. Aiden is a self proclaimed asshat, but he cares and tries, even if it’s in his own way.

Sienna is a physical therapist extraordinaire. Dedicated to her work and holds the utmost professionalism in what she does. Sienna is a strong and independent, self proclaimed cat woman. To me that just means she has an amazing heart. Sienna is dealing with the loss of her best friend. That loss has shaken not only Sienna’s world but those of her circle as well. Sienna is the type of woman you can count on. A good friend.

I so loved Aiden and Sienna story. A tale that way years in the making. Falling With You is my now favorite read in the Fractured Connections Series. Emotional, deep and intimate on a level that is different from Ms. Ryan’s other works.  Sometimes loss draws people together and that is what happens for Aiden and Sienna. Although they had a friendship along the way they became bickering enemies. To allowing each other to divulge their secrets and show their wounds that are soul deep. To finding something together they have never and making something they can’t let go of.

Bust out the tissues ladies. You just may need them.

Falling With You is emotional and deep but leaves you feeling quite good at the end.

Review: Hard Ride by Jayne Rylon

Hard Ride

Jayne Rylon

Powertools: Got Rides Series, Book 3

Published: July 12, 2019

There’s a thin line between love and hate.

Kyra Kado hates Van Hernandez. Or at least she wishes she could. Ever since she kissed him and he rejected her as a “mistake”, things have been tense onboard their tour bus. Kyra takes out her aggression during her drumming performances as a member of Kason Cox’s band and tries not to think about how well Van guards her body between their shows.

Until she meets Ollie Dawes, who’s the perfect distraction. Funny, flirty, and cute AF, he takes her mind off Van. The Hot Rides salvage man is used to being alone on his solo part-finding missions, but she suspects he’d rather not be lonely anymore. She can relate. So she invites him to come see a show.

When Van discovers Kyra and Ollie performing an illicit encore together, he goes berserk. Distancing herself from Van might keep Kyra’s heart safe, but what about her body? A string of unsettling incidents make Kyra afraid one of her admirers has crossed the line from fan to fanatic.

With Ollie and Van teamed up to protect Kyra, she isn’t sure she’ll survive being torn between the two men she craves. She might have to sacrifice her friendships with them to stay sane, unless she can think of a way to keep them both in her life or in her bed.

This is a standalone book in the Hot Rides series and includes an HEA with no cheating. The series is part of the greater universe where both the Powertools and Hot Rods books are also set, so you can visit with many of your previous favorite characters and see what they’re up to now!

 4 Stars

Hard Ride gets a reader heated in more ways than one.

Mix together a fine looking bodyguard(Van), a hottie parts finder(Ollie) and kicka** drummer(Kyra) and you get a wicked hot mess that heats up the pages, has the reader beyond invested and possibly over emotional to the point of screaming at their chosen reading device, kind of story. This triad knows how to get each other’s blood pumping.

Kyra, Van and Ollie are all very unique people with very different backgrounds. Each of them bring something different and compelling to their union. Each of them proves that what you see on the outside may not be what’s lurking on the inside. Ollie is so passionate it makes my heart melt. Kyra is so strong but yet has a vulnerable side that some may not see. Van tries to keep feeling separated from his job but when the missing piece falls into place there’s no denying.

Ms. Rylon keeps readers on their toes with Hard Ride! Emotional and sexy, but the waters are rough before Ollie, Van and Kyra find smooth sailing.  The level of intimacy that the three come to share is beautiful. All in all, Hard Ride is a well balanced story with all the heat and heart, and just enough drama and angst to shake things up.

Review: Alpha’s Promise by Rebecca Zanetti

Alpha’s Promise

Rebecca Zanetti

Dark Protectors Series, Book 10

Lyrical Press, Published June 25, 2019

To hell and back . . .

Though he has vampire, demon, and Viking blood rushing through his veins, Ivar Kjeidsen’s soul-crushing trip to hell broke him in ways he can barely fathom.  One vow keeps the deadly immortal standing: To rescue the vampire brother who had sacrificed freedom for him.  To do that, Ivar needs the help of a brilliant physicist with wary brown eyes, fierce brilliance, and skin that’s way too soft.

Dr. Promise Williams understands the underpinnings of the universe but has never figured out the human beings inhabiting it.   Her function is to think—and not feel—until she’s touched by a vampire who’s nowhere near human. The primal hunger in his eyes awakens feelings in her that defy calculation. As she shows him the way to step between worlds, he brands her with a pleasure that could last more than a lifetime . . .

 4 Stars

Ivan Kjeidsen make the average person shake in their shoes. He is a vampire-demon hybrid after all. Having seen hell with his own eyes leaves Ivan not quite right. He may be damaged in ways but not broken. Ivan made a promise, that is his driving force. The man is primal and determined. Not to mention sexy and hard headed, like many of the alpha that we love. Ivan sets himself on a mission to save a friend and in turn gets blindsided by something he didn’t see coming.

Promise Williams trusts numbers and science. Facts, that can be explained and seen. It’s a matter of logic. She was raised not to feel only to think. Mathematics is her world. A very lonely kind of world.  Promise is beyond smart. Dr. Williams is an extremely talented physicist who just may hold the knowledge to be able to travel to worlds not her own. Promise is a bit quirky and takes some time to get used to, however in the end I truly enjoyed her character.  Don’t let the smarts fool you Dr. Williams has some sass and spunk.

Ms. Zanetti rocked it hard with Alpha’s Promise. Excellent world building, great story, intricate plot and deep characters. Promise and Ivan get pushed into each other’s worlds and get more than their asking for. A talent physicist teaming up with a vampire-demon hybrid who on a mission to keep a promise and protect something precious.  I very much enjoyed the banter between these two and the way the played to each other strength. They captivated this reader! Now I would like to note that I have not read every book in this series, but I was able to follow along with the overall plot of the series fairly well. I will also say I could tell I was I miss out on something but that didn’t take away from the story of Alpha’s Promise. It just makes me want to go back to the beginning of the series and learn more of this world and the interesting characters within it.

People will think I’m crazy when I say I have not read many books by Ms. Zanetti.  Yes, I know. I’m smashing myself on this one. Paranormal is what brought me into the world that is Romance reading. Ms. Zanetti checks off everything I love in a paranormal while delivering a story that keep you going until the end. Alpha’s Promise is a fantastic read that I highly recommended.

Shouldn’t Have You

Carrie Ann Ryan

Fractured Connections Series, Book 2

Paperback, 316 pages
Published May 21st 2019 by Carrie Ann Ryan

I’ve been many things in my life: daughter, friend, student, lover, wife…and now, widow. Getting past those labels and finding who I could be without them was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.
Then I became friends with Brendon Connolly.
Every time I look at him, I see a past, I see a present, and I’m afraid if I look too hard, I’ll see a future.

~~~
I’ve known Harmony Wynham since before she got married. Before she lost everything. I didn’t know that one day she wouldn’t be just my friend but the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.
Only I don’t think that can happen.
Not when every time she looks at me, she sees what she lost, and I can only see what I can’t overcome.
I love her, even though I shouldn’t. Somehow, we need to find a balance.
Because if we don’t, walking away will be the hardest thing I’ve ever done—even if it’s the only thing I should do.
4 Stars
Carrie Ann Ryan continues to pull on the heartstrings and emotions with the second book of the Fractured Connections Series, Shouldn’t Have You.
Harmony’s life is not what she thought it would be. Her psyche and soul are damaged after the loss of not only her best friend, also her partner in live. She’s trying, even when it epically fails her.  Harmony brushes it off and gets back up. She looking to fill something she’s missing in life, but Harmony is maybe not looking at all the options.
Brendon, too, is picking up the pieces of his past and trying to get on track. He has also felt the loss of losing a friend. Brendon is amazing. Sweet and caring, knows how to be a true friend and is loyal. As his feelings develop, he gentle and respectful. Brendon is what I call one of the good ones.
Shouldn’t Have You is about healing and moving on with and within love. Learning to love again and finding oneself. It’s a fantastic friends to lovers story but so much more.  Harmony and Brendon are going to take you on a emotional ride. Intense, raw and real. Ms. Ryan captures the essence of the emotions and transcribes this tale into a journey of healing and love. Mending what’s broken, nurturing what hurt and embracing something or someone new. That’s what Shouldn’t Have You was for me.
Reaper’s MC Series
1001 Dark Nights
Evil Eye Productions
Published: May 8, 2019
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series…
Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Some might call it a dead end job, but to her it was an investment—another six months, and she’d have enough money to buy the place.
Life would’ve been perfect if Eli hadn’t come home.
Eli King is ready to settle down. He stood by his brothers when they needed him, paying the price for their freedom with his own. Now it’s time to claim his reward—the Starkwood Saloon. He’s got the cash to buy the bar, the skills to run it, and just one person standing between him and his dream: Peaches Taylor.
She’s been driving him crazy since they were kids, and not in the good way. When she was six, she shoved a spider down his pants. When he was ten, he locked her in a closet overnight. Then she hot-wired his car at seventeen, and things got ugly…
They’re adults now, and the Starkwood isn’t a toy to fight over—it’s the hill they’ll die on. No prisoners. No compromises. No mercy.
Peaches Taylor and Eli King are going to war.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**
4 Stars
There is nothing like a visit with The Reapers to shake up your reading world. Eli’s Triumph is like Shade’s Lady, it’s such a Reapers story. (I said that to Ms. Wylde once and she replied- yes you get it!). Fun, entertaining and the sexual tension is off the charts.
If there were to ever be a true female Reaper member, Peaches would be that woman. Talk about a woman able to stand her ground, not take crap from anyone and what a mouth on that woman. Peaches is a force.  There is no other description I can give her. Peaches is dedicated, hard working and can hold a grudge like no other. I will put my money on her every time.
Eli’s is more than what meets the eye. MC life is all he’s know and he embraced it head on.  Learning family is more than blood at a very age. Eli’s dedication to the club is unwavering however he’s looking for a little more stability.  Coming off a five year jail stint, Eli’s future just shattered the dream of the one woman that gets to him like no other. Eli’s a Reaper and Reaper’s get what Reaper wants.
There are so many thing that I love about Eli’s Triumph. Eli and Peaches have known each other practically their entire lives. Picking on each other from childhood. Dancing around the sexual tension as soon as they realized what it was. The banter and the revenge tactics amongst the two of them is absolutely outstanding.  The sexual tension surrounded between Peaches and Eli is so intense it’s ready to ignite. For two people that try to get under each other skin the way they do they’ve always been there for each other. Even when they’d rather be slapping the other one upside the head because they can’t seem to admit, together, they are so intense they both are ready to ignite. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Peaches and Eli torment each other in the best ways. In true Reaper style, Eli and Peaches figure out their way.
Excellent, one sit read.
I romanced her for revenge…but what if she’s not the enemy after all?
I’m Clint Holmes. I was an ambitious guy with a busy life and a growing business. Sure North Dakota wasn’t a tropical paradise, but I was happy enough—until tragedy struck. Now the only thing that matters is finding the person responsible and making her pay. But Bethany Banks is a Harvard-educated shark used to swallowing her enemies whole while playing dangerous corporate games. How can a blue-collar oil man like me possibly beat her?
The moment I lay eyes on my beautiful nemesis, the answer is obvious. I seduce her.
On Maui, where she’s fled, I get to know the man-eater who caused my family so much pain…only to find she’s not the brazen ballbuster I assumed. She’s skittish, secretive, vulnerable. For some reason, my instinct is to protect her. I can’t abandon my plan…but I can’t stop wanting her. Night after night, I pry her open with my touch until I’m drowning in our passion. Soon, I’m questioning everything, especially the fine line between love and hate. But when the past comes back to wreak vengeance and the truth explodes, can I prove that I’m more than tempted to love her forever?
4.5 Stars
Clint is set on revenge. After the sudden loss of his father, Clint sets his target on the one he deems responsible for his loss. For a man that has himself pretty well together, his world has been thrown off balance. He’s hard worker, loyal to his family and caring man. Clint is truly one of the good ones.  However his plot for revenge may not be what his thought it is. Clint learns that you can’t judge the book by its cover, you have to get both sides of the story to truly know what’s going on. His plan is in play but when his plan turns on him, Clint opens his eyes wide for and sees something much better than revenge.
Bethany never believed the stories about her father. But then first hand she saw the absolute ruthlessness that the man who gave her life was truly capable of. One minute life is grand and the next Bethany’s professional career is going down the drain while her personal life has just felt like an earthquake exploded from within her. With the help of her brothers and sister Bethany tries to move on and generally lay low while the mess her father created and put her through works itself out. I honestly think Bethany was not even sure who she was anymore. With the help of her wonderful siblings, a tropical paradise and a man who’s got his head twisted help Bethany saves the day and herself.
More Than Tempt You, the latest book from Shayla Black’s More Than Words Series is an emotional whirlwind that will have you holding your breath while keeping you on the edge. Clint and Bethany truly surprised me. If you have read prior books in the series, Bethany has not been painted as the most beautiful character. I would’ve never guessed that she goes as deep as what she does. Bethany is a kind soul and she more than showed it. Clint is a family man at heart and I love that about him. As hard as he tried to be cold hearted, once he saw things may not be what they appeared, his heart wanted to embrace and his mind just had to catch up.  People so wrapped in their emotions learn so much more once they let the guard down a bit. Getting that guard to come down was the fun or the hard part depending on how you look at it. Clint and Bethany found their way into my heart and I’m sure, given the chance, they will for you as well.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again there is something about the More Than Words Series that just gets to me. I feel so inside of our main character head with each book. It’s so personal and intimate. In a way they are bearing their souls.  Music plays a huge part of the stories. For me music is a big part of my life so it allows me to connect with the story on another level. Music and emotions go hand and hand and Ms. Black shows readers just how deep with each story of the series.
More Than Tempt You is a beautiful edition to the More Than Words Series.
ARC Review: Breaking Without You by Carrie Ann Ryan
Breaking Without You
Carrie Ann Ryan
Fractured Connections Series, Book 1
Paperback, 306 pages
Expected publication: April 16th 2019 by Carrie Ann Ryan
From NYT bestselling author Carrie Ann Ryan, comes a brand new series where second chances don’t come often, and overcoming an unexpected loss means breaking everything you knew.
I fell for Cameron Connolly at the wrong time. And when he left, I thought my life was over. But then, after the worst happened, I truly understood what that phrase meant. Now, he’s not ready for a second chance, and I’m not offering one. Though given that our families have been forced together after losing one of our own, I know there’s no turning back. Not this time. Not again. Not when it comes to Cameron.
~~
I never wanted to hurt Violet Knight, but there were reasons I had to leave all those years ago—not that she’d believe me if I told her what they were. I not only left her, I also left my foster brothers. Honestly, I didn’t want to come back to Denver to help run my father’s failing brewery. But when it comes to my brothers, I know I’ll find a way to make it work. Perhaps I’ll even earn Violet’s forgiveness and face the connection we both thought long forgotten in the process. Because I wanted her then, but now I know I need her. I just hope she needs me.
4 Stars
Breaking Without You is the emotional and deep beginning to a brand new series, Fractured Connections by Carrie Ann Ryan.
Violet Knight is living through one of the hardest events of her life. Losing her best friend has left Violet with many unanswered questions and feeling empty and numb. For the second time in her life, Violet feels as if she’s broken. On the day of the funeral she (literally) runs into the man that caused her first heartbreak. Seeing Cameron caused a flood of emotions she was unprepared for, and hits her like a bomb. Now how to pick up the pieces and move on……..
Cameron Connolly has a past that most people never to want to think about let alone imagine. He had an addict for her mother, was moved around to foster homes being separated from his brother until a wonderful couple not only open their house but their hearts changing the lives of not just one but young men’s lives. Giving them a family made deeper than blood, made on love.  Cameron’s loyalty and dedication to family caused him to make s decision that intern hurt many people he loves. Now back in Denver, Cameron takes tries to fix the fractures that have cracked his life.
Cameron is amazing. Hands down. He made choices that cost him, but in reality they also show the kind of man his is. He tries so hard to rebuild the relationships that have suffered. Cameron never lost his love for Violet and that makes me smile. He’s a dedicated, loyal and so compassionate. Violet is so strong and doesn’t even realize it. Her would keeps throwing curveballs at her and she keeps getting up and going. Even though at times it may not seem like that. Heartache is just as bad as any physical pain and we see Violet going through it all. Cameron and Violet never lost their love for each other but the heart is finicky when it gets broken. Communication is always the key, and at times the keys got lost for Cameron and Violet.  Their chemistry was amazing and passion was heart touching. They just had to find their way back home to each other.
Breaking Without You is unlike anything Ms. Ryan has given her readers. There is so much emotion throughout the book it’s so hard not to get lost in all the feelings. Loss is a touchy subject to begin with, then add in all the unanswered questions, the raw emotions and the guilt. That’s a emotional bomb just waiting to go off.  Violet loses her best friend to suicide which puts her in a state of unknown, and I must applaud Ms. Ryan for her elegance and grace on handling the subject. The roller coaster of emotions, the bouncing between being fine and being at the end of the string. Ms.Ryan hit the nail on the head so to speak, with the beautiful way she delivers Violet grief.
Breaking Without You, the first book of the Fractured Connections series is everything I have to love for Ms. Ryan and more. Grab some tissue ladies, you just might be needing it for this one.
