“What the fuck happened out here?” Danielle asked, her arm suddenly around my shoulders. I immediately felt better. Danielle and I balanced each other out perfectly—she was batshit crazy and insanely optimistic. Make that dangerously, recklessly optimistic. As for me, I spent nearly all my time focused on staying sane and getting ahead. That didn’t leave much time for things like actually living my life.
We’d met each other our senior year of high school, when she’d offered to drive me back and forth to town in her shiny new Jeep Wrangler. This spared me from the horror of sharing a battered school bus with every hormonal teen living in the greater Callup metropolitan area. After a particularly harrowing ride home in her car one night (long story short, it took us six hours to travel thirty miles and by the time we pulled into town, we had matching tattoos of chipmunks wearing scarves) I decided it was my job to keep her from accidentally killing herself.
In return, she pushed me to do fun things, reminding me at least once a week that I was only twenty-one and perhaps the fate of the universe didn’t literally rest on whether or not I balanced my checkbook to the penny. Along the way, she taught me how to do smoky eye makeup, how not to freak out when a guy asked me to dance, and how to “borrow” music off the Internet. (When I pointed out that “borrowing” music was stealing, she agreed and started using iTunes for her downloads. To finance this, she “borrowed” her dad’s credit card.)
“Well, apparently me and Blake no longer work here,” I said, leaning my head against her. “I don’t know if you’re fired or not.”
“Fuck that,” Danielle declared. “Eva can kiss my ass. If you’re out, I’m out.”
“You weren’t even part of it,” I protested.
“I don’t care. You’re a much better waitress than I am. If she fired you, no way I’d last there anyway. Let’s go get drunk!”

I reach over and grab a tissue from the sofa table and hand it to her, rolling my eyes. Then I proceed to tell her everything, not leaving out one single detail—including my magnetic attraction to him that shouldn’t be sexual but is.
“Well, dear, you’ve hit the jackpot.”
“What? How have you come to that conclusion from everything I’ve told you?”
“A guy friend who’s gay? I hear they’re every girl’s dream. Except, from the sounds of things, Trick needs to gay up a little more and stop confusing unsuspecting women.”
“Gay up? Who are you?”
She snaps her wrist at me. “I read the tabloids you know.”
“Yeah? Well then you should know that gay doesn’t have a look.”
“That’s the problem. You used to be able to tell by the ear piercing—right for gay left for straight. Or is it the other way around? Anyway, these days everything gets pierced and so it becomes terribly confusing.”
Nana provides nonstop entertainment, and every time I come by to see her I chastise myself for not doing it more often.
“We’re friends, period. And maybe you’re right. If he would ‘gay up’ a little more I might feel the jackpot effect.”
“Yes, shopping, hair, makeup, and chick flicks without competing hormones or competing for the same men.”
“Or wishing he weren’t gay,” I whisper to myself.
She tilts her head to the side, giving me a soft, sympathetic smile. “Or that too, dear.”

Smart, beautiful, quick-tongued, sassy and determined, Rubi seems to have it all to the outside world. Sweet, romantic and a genuine caring person, Wes is kind of like the guy next door who much hotter and has a need for dangerous thrills.
Flirtatious personalities, instant chemistry and a connection upon first sight, Wes and Rubi heat the pages and tear your heart at the same time. I was so surprised by Rubi. I would have never guessed her wounds ran as deep as they do. Completely changing the way I looked at her. Making Rubi a far richer character than I thought she would be. Wes has an amazing patience and determination that amazed me. This is one of those don’t judge a book by it’s cover stories. What you see on the surface is not even the beginning of the depth, emotion and passion this ride is going to send you on.
Piper Goodeve’s narration of this sexy and emotional tale is nothing less than excellent.

The Beta is hotter than the Alpha!
It’s very hard not to smile when Dimitri’s presence is on the page. The wolf is sexy as sin, dominating, charismatic and witty. Becca is the textbook definition of a survivor. The poor girl has been to hell and back more times than she can probably count. Suffering from horrors that no one, let alone a teenager should have to go through. Used as a pawn as to whatever means to met her sadistic parents wants or needs for the moment. I would say Becca has good reasons for her anger issues, her temper and the fact that those memories still haunt her. Underneath all the anger is a sweet, soft and loving woman, who will take you down if she must.
Puck had just become my new favorite biker. Too wise for his age, an old soul in a hot sexy body. The best day of Pucks life just so happens to coincide with the worst. Hours after getting his patch, he indulges in temptation risking his new freedom. The dominating, hard-core, bad ass is no saint. He will get what he wants, how and when he wants. Not caring how it has to happen. Alpha biker, born and bred. His loyalty and devotion, not only for the club but for those he feels he needs to protect is truly remarkable and immeasurable.

A raw passion entwined with naughty desire. Odalia and Jacques have chemistry off thecharts. Each unique in their own right however neither was like your typical dominant/submissive. Personalities complementing each other in the most natural way on a deeperlevel from the start. A beautiful display of BDSM with a little suspense make this short read pack a sexy punch.
Picture Her Bound is my first Sidney Bristol read. What was I waiting for???
Great characters, good story line and HOT! I love New Orleans, Ms. Bristol made me feel like I was right there while read. A high compliment!

He was the one in the wrong, not me. “You’re not prepared to take me, or my feelings, seriously. What you want is to hide away in Mr. Too Cool for Commitment land and just play with my affections when it suits you. Okay, I’ve accepted that. But none of that means it’s okay for you to come in here and act like you’re the boss of me. None of it.”
“That so?” he asked, leaning down so that we were almost nose to nose.
“That’s so, baby.” I play-punched him in the shoulder, which it should be noted, I barely came up to. Okay, so maybe the alcohol on a mostly empty stomach had made me slightly/lots braver/sillier. “So why don’t you take your little caveman jealous tantrum bullshit somewhere else. See, I do this funny thing I like to refer to as whatever the fuck I want. Understand?”
He just stared.
“And as pretty as you are with your beard and your muscles, you are too damn tricky and . . . complicated and shit for me.”
“I am?”
“Yes, you are. Are you finally seeing my point here?”
“You bet.”
“Excellent. So take your hotness elsewhere, kind sir. I want no part of it!” Huh. I had so told him. Drunken bravado was the best.

Kylie Scott rocked my reading world with Deep.
The thing when I read a final book in a series it always a love/hate moment. The Stage Dive series has captivated me in many ways from first book to last. Ben and Lizzy’s story is one that is very close to home. Making Deep a very emotional read for me. Also making Deep my favorite book of the Stage Dive Series
Ben is the mystery of the band. The quiet one. Hes a go with the flow, never committing to anything but music kind of guy. Bens as sexy as the bass he plays. That flippin hair and beard just get to a girl. He’s an asshat, living his Rock and Roll fantasy, not knowing a damn good thing when he’s had it right in front of him.
Lizzy flippin rocks! Lizzy went all in when in came to Ben. She knew what she was getting herself into. Always hoping, trying not to hurt, needing and wanting. A strong woman who who fell for the bad boy rockstar. Every woman has something that makes her weak in the knees. Hers is Ben!
Ben and Lizzy’s story takes snark and banter to a new best. The way these two go at each other made me both laugh and want to cry. An emotional and funny story, fill with sexual tension, out of control feelings and trying to make it all work. Add in the Rock and Roll life on the road, you get the best Stage Dive novel of the series. I was hanging on the edge of my seat while Ben and Lizzy dance around their HEA! The Stage Dive series is one I will read again and again.
