Shadow Web
Yasmine Galenorn
Moonshadow Bay Series, Book 5
It’s my first Thanksgiving back in Moonshadow Bay, and everything is hunky-dory until the Witches Guild assigns me a research project for the upcoming Winter Solstice Festival. Not only do I melt down my computer, but I download a demon who ends up stuck in my house.
But Tarvish the Funtime demon is the least of my worries when my grandmother asks my BFF and me to go undercover. A magical pyramid scheme has moved into town and it’s siphoning more than money off its recruits. Will we be able to take it down, or will the leader of the cult manage to silence us for good?

It’s Thanksgiving time in Moonshadow Bay and January Jackson, in what should be a wonderful vacation while hosting her first Thanksgiving upon returning home, she soon realizes what the hustle and bustle of the season is all about. When a research project comes from left field and leaves her without a computer, a strange demon manifests in her house and an undercover mission from her grandmother that has her on edge. With chaos rising and soon a house full of people, January has a lot to cross off that to-do list in Shadow Web.
I thoroughly enjoyed Shadow Web. January is really becoming one with herself. She is learning who she is and it’s very much starting to show. I felt a big sense of hearth and home throughout the story. She has finally I believe put her past life behind her and is really looking forward to things to come. She’s happy and it shows. January knows that family is not always blood and she sees that in the people around her. She’s willing to help get to the bottom of things and even puts her own self in danger to make things right. From Funtime Demons to putting her own self in danger January makes leaps and bounds with who she is and what she’s capable of doing. Yasmine Galenorn gives a true holiday feel with her unique style of paranormal with Shadow Web.

Witching Time

The Wild Hunt Series, Book 14
4 Stars
The Wild Hunt is back.
Raven is all set to read cards at the annual Autumn Festival. Fun times should be had yet not all is as it seems. There’s a unsettling darkness surrounding a friends farm that puts Raven on high alert. All things are not as they seem.
Witching Time is an action packed, thrilling and dark urban fantasy. A beautifully diverse cast of characters that has someone for every type of reader. Ms. Galenorn creates a world that invigorates, captivates and almost entrance is the reader. Her take on myth, legend and lore is unique yet holds pieces of the original. Raven is one of my favorite of the Wild Hunt. She makes a few leaps and bounds within the pages of Witching Time. I loved getting to know her more intimately. One of the things I love most about The Wild Hunt books you always finish satisfied but yet you always want more of Ms. Galenorn’s creation.

4 Stars
Yasmine Galenorn grabs the reader’s attention with a fast paced story embedded with legend, lore, magic and mayhem with her own unique twist. Sun Broken is the latest tale of the exciting Wild Hunt series.
So much happens within the pages of Sun Broken, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was reading. Chaos is on the rise as a series of murders involving victims who practice some form of death magic. The Wild Hunt crew find themselves dab smack in the middle of one of the most dangerous places they could possibly be to put an end to this craziness. When one of their own becomes the next target, The Wild Hunt team comes full force. While the world around Ember is changing and preparing for what is to come, she is embracing both sides of her heritage. She is finding who she is and what she is truly capable of.
Sun Broken is highly entertaining and a fast read. Ms. Galenorn weaves a fantastic read.
Review: Phantom Queen by Yasmine Galenorn
Phantom Queen

Whisper Hollow Series, Book 3
Whisper Hollow, where spirits walk among the living, and the lake never gives up her dead…
Fifteen years ago, I ran away from Whisper Hollow, Washington, a small town on Crescent Lake in the Olympic Peninsula. But truth is, if you were born here, you can never really leave. I’m Kerris Fellwater, and I’m a spirit shaman. It’s my responsibility to drive the dead back to their graves, because around Whisper Hollow, people-and secrets-don’t always stay buried.
Veronica, Queen of the UnLiving, is causing trouble. When I request an audience with her, she tells me something big is coming, something that even the Hounds of Cú Chulainn fear. Now, Bryan and I must enlist the help of the dead in order to keep the spirit world from unwinding and to keep the Hounds from using the approaching disaster for their own ends.
4.5 Stars
A new darkness has wandered into Whisper Hollow just as Kerris has begun to settle nicely into her role as spirit shaman. Fast paced and action packed, unlikely alliances, and dark magic grab the reader from page one. The Phantom Queen is a page turner from beginning to end.
Kerris is becoming confident within her role of spirit showman. I love that she admits that there is still much for her to learn yet she is learning new things about who she is and what she does each day. I like the little things that you see within her friendship with Peggin. Yes we have got to know these characters in previous books but I feel like now that the series is set up we are really getting to see who these characters are. I love that Kerris understands the importance of relationships. Kerris is a very sweet and caring woman yet she can be as tough as any of the creatures that she comes across if need be. I really enjoyed the little intimacies shared by Bryan and Kerris. I also enjoyed getting to know the townspeople. They are a fun and interesting bunch that truly lend more to the story than what you think they would.
I’m so excited for Ms. Galenorn to continue the Whisper Hollow Series. The Phantom Queen was well worth the wait. Ms. Galenorn dazzles her readers with interesting characters, a good plot, great world building and a satisfying ending. Whisper Hollow is a dark and mysterious town but it also has a warmth that makes you feel like you’ve come home.

My best friend Peggin finds herself under a curse after she is almost taken by the Lady of the Lake. As Bryan-my guardian and mate-and I work to break the hex, we stumble over a dark and violent mystery from the past. One the Hounds of Cú Chulainn will do anything to stop us from bringing to light.
4 Stars
Shadow Silence is an outstanding experience in paranormal romance. Yasmine Galenorn masterfully builds worlds that you can’t help but to get lost in.
The second installment of the Whisper Hollow Series continues to entrance readers into a place where anything could be and is lurking. Ms. Galenorn paints a vivid picture of the danger and magic that lay within Kerris path. I love that Kerris learns as she goes. She’s become so much stronger within a book. She takes her roll on fully and gives herself to her fate. Kerris’ friends are her family and the bonds are deep with her chosen few. Loyal and more powerful than she realizes, Kerris becomes more interesting with each book.
Shadow Silence finds Peggin at the fingertips of danger known as the lady of the lake. Shadow spirits all over town and dark magic at play. Kerris learns that sometimes you just have to wait for things to happen before you can do anything about it. The main plot arc continues to thicken, the suspense builds and not everyone is whom they seem to be. And I can see many things that could happen just from the events of Shadow Silence.
Ms. Galenorn would building and attention to detail is like none other. Shadow Silence, like most of Ms. Galenorn’s work, is based in mythology, legend and lore with her unique twist that gives the reader a new or different perspective. Shadow Silence is quick moving, dark magical, adventure.
ARC Review: Fury Unbound by Yasmine Galenorn
Fury Awakened
Yasmine Galenorn
Fury Unbound Series, Book 3
“My name is Kaeleen Donovan. I’m a Theosian-a minor goddess. They call me Fury.”
By day, I run the Crossroads Cleaning Company, and I also read fortunes and cast hexes at Dream Wardens, a magical consulting shop. But by night, I’m oath-bound to Hecate, Goddess of the Crossroads. Hecate charged me from birth with the task of hunting down Abominations who come in off the World Tree and sending them back to Pandoriam.
Deep in the Wild Wood, we’ve hidden out from both the ruthless Devani and the zombie invasion going on in Seattle. In her anger, Gaia retaliates and devastates the city. The Order of the Black Mist has thrown off their secrecy and are openly vying for dominance with the Devani, as the ruthless warriors of light destroy all who question the control of the Corp Rats. As I learn more out in the wilds about the world of the Fae, and as our group of survivors strengthens its bonds, Hecate beckons me into the woods where I stumble on a secret that could turn the tide. But it will put us on the front lines as targets–and it will mean letting go of my fear of the fire and fully accepting my Theosian nature.

Moon Shimmers
Yasmine Galenorn
Otherworld/Sisters of the Moon Series, Book 19
Published May 2nd 2017 by Nightqueen Enterprises LLC (first published April 28th 2017)
We’re the D’Artigo sisters: savvy half-human, half-Fae operatives for the Otherworld Intelligence Agency. My sister Delilah is a two-faced werecat and a Death Maiden. Menolly is a vampire married to a gorgeous werepuma and a vampire prince. And me? I’m Camille, a Moon Witch married to three gorgeous husbands, and I’m about to ascend to the throne of Dusk & Twilight. But the path to the throne lies through a labyrinth of dangers, which I must face alone…
Before I can fulfill my destiny to become the Queen of Dusk & Twilight, I must seek out the Keraastar Diamond. But to find the magical gem and take control over the Keraastar Knights, I must venture back to Otherworld, deep into the treacherous Tygerian Mountains. Once there, I face a magical trial by fire. If I fail, Pentangle, the Mistress of Magic, will destroy me. If I succeed, my life will forever change. And I’m not certain which prospect frightens me the most.
4.5 Stars
As a long time reader of the Otherword Series, it’s with a bitter sweetness that I write this review. Moon Shimmers brings readers to the final arc of this amazingly magical series. Destiny, fate and everything Camille, her sisters, family and friends have been fighting for is now on the table.
Moon Shimmers is an emotional, fast paced journey of mental and spiritual growth for Camille. Grab a glass of wine and a box of tissues, I know I needed both. Lol. Camille has been one of my favorite characters throughout the Otherworld series, continuously growing, stepping up to her duty and putting aside her fear for the greater good. Of all of Camille’s books this one was the most emotional for me. Boy, we have seen this woman go through a lot. Life is changing, Camille struggles through the fear then faces it with her head held high. Wonky magic and all. Camille’s direct chapters of this tale have end on the best of notes.
Ms. Galenorn is a master at her craft. Otherworld is world building at its best. Moon Shimmers is amazing and so very Camille. Emotional, dangerous and adventurous. I was laughing out loud then pages later shedding tears for my favorite characters. Moon Shimmers will keep reader flying through the pages, begins to tie up loose ends and possibly even starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
A note to readers: this is the 19th book of the series. Normally I would not even suggest to pick up reading a series this late. Especially with there only being two books left. However I must give props to Ms. Galenorn. She supplies a new reader with enough information that they can enjoy this addition to the Otherworld series as much as I did.

ARC Review: Souljacker by Yasmine Galenorn
Souljacker
Yasmine Galenorn
Lily Bound Series, Book 1
Lily O’Connell, a succubus, owns Lily Bound, an elite sex salon in the Blood Night District of Seattle. When a client is murdered in her house, a patch of skin missing from his chest, she knows there’s something evil afoot. Then comes the news that the Souljacker—a tattoo-artist-turned-vampire—has escaped from an institution for criminally deranged Supernaturals. And he’s hunting and killing everyone he has ever inked.
With one of the Souljacker’s tattoos on her thigh and nowhere else to turn, Lily hires Archer Desmond, a chaos demon and PI, to help her track down the vampire before he finds her and her friends. But Lily didn’t plan to fall for Archer. And as the old tales say—a succubus who falls in love will destroy the heart of the one she seeks to claim.
4.5 Stars
Souljacker is a fantastic beginning to what looks to be a great new urban fantasy series.
Lily is smart, snarky and a succubus. She’s fun and feisty. Lily runs Lily Bound. A salon that will cater to clients and in return Lily is able to feed on the chi she needs without harming. I liked Lily. There is a uniqueness to her that I enjoyed. Her personality shines, she cares deeply and is willing to take on the would. Lily is challenged from the first pages of the book, causing exciting and unexpected changes in her life.
One of things that I love about Ms. Galenorn’s work is her world building. The settle and atmosphere of the story are like a character themselves. Rich details allow the reader to perfectly visualize the world in which they have stepped into. Ms. Galenorn’s personal touch to myth and legend adds to a creative and unique feel to the story. Secondary characters play just as important of a role to the story as do the primary. There’s a vast array of personality and paranormal creatures to touch on everyone’s tastes. Not to mention readers do get some pretty steamy naughtiness as an added bonus.
I really enjoyed Souljacker. Ms. Galenorn offers up something a bit different and thoroughly enjoyable. The cast of characters make the story. ghosts, satyrs, witches and vamps. That’s just the beginning. Souljacker is a fast moving read. Darker in nature with some funny moments. If you’re looking for something a bit different in a paranormal I highly recommend Souljacker.

Bewitching Bedlam Series, Book 1
ebook
Published January 9th 2017 by Nightqueen Enterprises LLC
As Maudlin and Aegis prepare to open the Bewitching Bedlam to guests, they immediately find themselves embroiled in a battle for customers. Ralph Greyhoof, the owner of the Heart’s Desire Bed & Breakfast, doesn’t like to share. The conflict heats up when Maddy finds a local witch dead in the rose garden. The woman looks a lot like Maudlin and suspicion falls on Ralph. But Maddy knows that, as competitive as Ralph is, he wouldn’t resort to murder. Maudlin and Aegis set out to find the killer, even as their own relationship is put to the test. Aegis’s old flame has returned, determined to win him back, no matter what it takes.
5 Stars
With Bewitching Bedlam, Yasmine Galenorn has just given me everything thing I have been wanting in a fresh paranormal read.
Maudlin “Maddy” Gallowglass may have just become my favorite of Ms. Galenorn’s lead ladies. She’s hands down a total kick a** woman. Maddy has lived a long life, made history, loved and lost. Hundreds of years running, fighting and maybe even reeking a bit of havoc. Maddy is smart, strong and independent. A talented witch and an amazing friend. Maddy’s personality shines through the pages. She funny, snarky and powerful in more ways than one. Maddy is a complex character whom I very much connected with. Her charm and charisma make it very easy to like her, once I got to know Maddy, I was fascinated. Aegis is a smoking hot vampire musician. He just enough alpha to make me purr. He what I call the perfect romantic vampire. He commanding but not overly aggressive. He respectfully and caring. Excellent world building, a few plot twists and amazing characters make Bewitching Bedlam a fantastic read. Ms. Galenorn has outdone herself. First the world building- is truly excellent. An island that is 95% pretcom is the playing field for the Bewitching Bedlam series. I love the mixing of so many paranormal beings. You can almost feel the magic coming off the pages. The town itself is almost like a character. It has a personality that is all its own. Next, the plot twist- Ms. Galenorn kept me engaged and guessing through the entire story. Just when you think you got it, something will happen and change it all up. Characters- the cast of the story rock. Yes, all of them. Personality shines through, even with secondary characters. Making the story that much more enjoyable. Sandy is flamboyant, funny and bold. She is a riot and I absolutely loved her. Characters I really didn’t want to like found a way do so. Many characters have a long history with many ups and downs, creating a deep layer to this tale. Bewitching Bedlam is just what I have been wanting/needing in a paranormal read. The first full length book of the series is like a breath of fresh air. We’ve got every kind of paranormal creature you can think of, humor and sass, a touch of suspense, multiple layers of depth and personality and some smoking hot romance. What more could I ask for? A quick moving story with a fully engaging plot. Bewitching Bedlam will satisfy all of your paranormal needs. A copy of this title was provided for a review. |

Fury’s Magic

Fury Unbound Series, Book 2
“My name is Kaeleen Donovan. I’m a Theosian-a minor goddess. They call me Fury.”
By day, I run the Crossroads Cleaning Company, and I also read fortunes and cast hexes at Dream Wardens, a magical consulting shop. But by night, I’m oath-bound to Hecate, Goddess of the Crossroads. Hecate charged me from birth with the task of hunting down Abominations who come in off the World Tree and sending them back to Pandoriam.
On a routine cleaning job in Portside—a boat full of ghosts need their joyride cut short—Tam and I run afoul of the Devani. The ruthless soldiers of Elysium capture him and send him out to the Tremble, a place of wild, chaotic madness. Jason and I devise a plan to sneak in and help Tam escape. But Lyon and the Order of the Black Mist reappear, and I’m on their hit list. Lyon opens a door to the Netherworld and the dead are pouring into the city. Now, we must wade through both the Devani and the dead to save Tam. And we must close the portal on the World Tree before Lyon manages to wake the Elder Gods of Chaos.
4 Stars
Dark, dangerous, unique and suspenseful.
Fury’s Magic is the fast paced, action packed second book of the Fury Unbound series. I adore Fury! She’s strong, loyal and a great friend. Also a total kick butt woman. Fury made strides in dealing with some of her darker emotions. I loved seeing that growth in her, along with learning more of where she’s from. As of lover of lore and legends the origins of the Broken and the Theosians were an added treat for me. Meeting new characters and unexpected twist to the plot kept this reader on the edge of her seat.
Fury’s Magic is truly paranormal at its finest. Ms. Galenorn’s personal touch on myths, legends and lore is imaginative, fresh and exciting. Her world building is an art form in itself. It’s almost like the setting is a character in itself. Yasmine Galenorn’s imagination and talent for weaving words, together to create a fascinating world that draws readers in and makes them never want to leave.
