Review: London Bound by Amy Daws
Amy Daws
London Lovers Series, Book 3
When Leslie Lincoln, a spunky, red-headed American, suffers an awkward moment with an arousingly-sexy British man—she thinks her life can’t get any more pathetic.
She’s done with men.
She doesn’t need them.
She especially doesn’t need their muscular thighs.
No siree, she’s going to forget all about the brooding, complicated, and seductive “Theo” who captivated her on the dance floor of a London nightclub.
Keep telling yourself that, Lez…..
Immersing herself into a new type of romantic cleanse, Leslie thinks she’ll never lay eyes on Theo again. But somehow, he’s managed to bulldoze his way back in—her cheetah-print onesie pajamas be damned.
He wants more.
She wants to run.
But he can’t seem to let her go.
Both of them have a past—and neither want to share.
How can love possibly survive in darkness?
Leslie is not the typical heroine. She’s fun, loud, sassy, snarky, and foul mouthed. She very real. Leslie loves her job and has created a wonderful and colorful family of friends. In a moment of being totally herself, she unknowingly opens a door that she can’t stop thinking about but also makes her want to run in the other direction. I truly enjoyed Leslie, stubbornness and all.
Theo is beautifully broken. Complex, dominant, creative, deep and flippin sexy. A man that is damn good with his hands, well whole body. Theo has a darkness that shadows him. Until a chance moment in a dance club, when a ray of light stops him in his tracks. I was on the edge with Theo for a bit. He proved himself a damn good man.
London Bound was so much more than I expected. Leslie and Theo’s chemistry from the get go is on target and über hot! Persistence and stubbornness, intensify the passion and add some mystery to this compelling story.
Amy Daws had created some really interesting and funny personalities in her characters in the London Lovers Series. As London Bound is the third book in the series, it can be read as a stand alone. The characters have made me what to go back and read the first two. I laughed so much while reading London Bound. Ms. Daws more than touches on some delicate topics. Perfectly balancing the dark with the light. A one sit read for me!

ARC Review: Reclaim Me by Alex Grayson
Alex Grayson
Jaded Series, Book 2
When the truth finally comes out, danger shows its ugly face. There are people in Jaded Hollow that do not want Mac and Mia together. They are willing to do what ever it takes to keep them apart.
Will Mac be strong enough to overcome temptation, even when the odds are against him? Will Mia forgive Mac when she realizes things weren’t what they seemed ten years ago?
Alex Grayson continues to captivate her readers with the emotional roller coaster and intense passion that is Reclaim Me.
A second chance love story laced with betrayal, unanswered questions and raw feelings that after 10 years still make their presence known. Through the emotions of not the main characters, but the secondary as well, make an edge of your seat read. Ms. Grayson writing takes the reader on a journey that will make you laugh, cry and share the pain, and want to hope for love.
Love is never easy. Reclaim Me by Alex Grayson, shows the battle that makes it all worth wild. A great addition to Ms. Grayson’s Jaded series.

Release Day Blitz-Never to Hope by Aimie Grey!
Title: Never to Hope
Author: Aimie Grey
Genre: Contemporary Romance
As the daughter of addicts, Alissa Ross is determined to break the cycle for herself and others like her. After years of following a set of carefully laid plans and working a demeaning job to save enough money, her lifelong goal of attending law school is almost within reach.
Alissa believed that love was out of the question for her…that is until the day Carter Smith moves in to her apartment building. From their first meeting, there’s an undeniable connection between them, and Alissa slowly begins to trust that it’s okay to hope for happiness in her life. For once everything is looking up, but as she has learned all too well, when something seems too good to be true, it usually is.
Will Alissa be able to trust the man who has everything to gain from destroying the only thing she’s ever wanted, or will she
accept it is better never to hope?
The cold tile floor on which I sat sent chills through the thin material of my robe to my nearly bare skin, and the cinderblock walls holding me upright were as unforgiving as my conscience. My body was tucked tightly into the corner, and my knees were covered with black streaks from running mascara as I hid my face against them and sobbed.
Over the years my body had been at the mercy of what others wanted, but I had survived, and I’d taken back control over what happened to me. For the first time, I’d used my body to benefit myself instead of my family, and the rush felt…good.
The power I’d experienced the first night was an incredible high—as if I’d given the universe a giant “fuck you”. I couldn’t quite reconcile the emotional pleasure I felt that night with my painful sexual history. All I knew was that I got to call the shots. I got to choose who and what I did. The power was in my hands.
The second night, however, was much harder, and the third was nearly unbearable…and now here I was huddled in a corner, crying. I wouldn’t—couldn’t—give up, though.
“Hey, are you all right?” A pair of smooth, shapely legs came into view when I lifted my watery gaze. “Pretty new here, huh?”
Nodding, I did my best to dry my cheeks and then swiped my forearm beneath my runny nose.
“What’s your name?” she asked as she crouched down to my level.
“Alissa,” I replied quietly.
“No, it’s not,” she said in a firm voice. “Not here, anyway. The first rule of survival is anonymity.” She paused for a moment, as if working something out in her mind. “From now on, every time you step through those doors, your name will be Lisa.”
“Lisa…” I repeated hesitantly, testing the name on my lips.
“I’m Veronica, by the way, but the clients know me as Vicki. How did you make out tonight?”
“Not very well,” I admitted. The money was better than waitressing but nowhere near what I’d been told to expect.
“You’ll need a new look to go with your new name. I’ve worked here long enough to know what the customers want. My sister owns the little beauty shop a couple of blocks over on Bridgeview. Meet me there tomorrow at noon, and we’ll get started.”
“Why are you being so nice to me?”
“Because someone helped me when I was sitting in that corner. You aren’t the first, and you won’t be the last. Someday, you’ll have an opportunity to pay it forward.”
Never to Hope is available at the introductory price of 99 cents until May 3rd, and all proceeds from sales through May 3rdwill be donated to a charity that supports homeless youth.

Aimie Grey didn’t read a single book until she was in her early thirties. One fateful day, her friend decided to put an end to the madness and shoved a steamy romance novel under Aimie’s nose. After being forced to read one of “those” scenes, Aimie went home and bought the book, and the next one, and the one after that. In the two years since, Aimie has read close to four hundred books. Somewhere along the way, she became frustrated with reading repetitive stories revolving around the experienced man seducing the still virginal woman. Aimie decided to take matters into her own hands and wrote her debut full length erotic romance novel Never to Keep.
In addition to her day job as an IT system administrator, and her new evening gig as a writer, Aimie’s primary role in life is wife and mother. Aimie lives in the Midwest with her husband and two teenage daughters. (Now you know why she needs those books!)

He never meant to hurt her.
Levi “Painter” Brooks was nothing before he joined the Reapers motorcycle club. The day he patched in, they became his brothers and his life. All they asked in return was a strong arm and unconditional loyalty—a loyalty that’s tested when he’s caught and sentenced to prison for a crime committed on their behalf.
Melanie Tucker may have had a rough start, but along the way she’s learned to fight for her future. She’s escaped from hell and started a new life, yet every night she dreams of a biker whose touch she can’t forget. It all started out so innocently—just a series of letters to a lonely man in prison. Friendly. Harmless. Safe.
Now Painter Brooks is coming home… and Melanie’s about to learn that there’s no room for innocence in the Reapers MC.

Review: Only Trick by Jewel E. Ann
Jewel E. Ann
I’m a recovering drug addict.
My inked skin crawls from lustful eyes.
I have a serious aversion to women.
My gay partner is a home wrecker.
I own a gun and I’m a damn good shot.
I’m a makeup artist, but it’s an insult to my talent.
I’ve never wanted to possess anything except my Ducati … until I met Darby.
Now here’s what I know since that day in the ER when she pieced me back together … nothing—but a few random thoughts.
My new “friend” is distracting, clingy, and obsessed with acronyms, emojis, and phrases like “breakfast soul mates.”
I didn’t want to like her, but she crawled under my skin and swallowed me whole. Now we’re best friends and she’s my new addiction. I’d drink her from a shot glass, snort her up my nose, or inject her into my veins if I could. What I won’t do … is ever tell her that.
She doesn’t know me … I don’t know me. When those missing years come back, I think she will hate me … I think I will hate me.
My parents named me Patrick Roth, and this is my story.
Only Trick was an interesting read for me.
Trick is this dark and intense guy, who’s book is nothing like its cover. Sexy, cocky and mysterious.
Darby knows there is more to the world than money. Caring, socially awkward and funny.
These two take friendship to a new level. Darby’s bluntness and Trick’s general dislike of women make an interesting story. As the friendship changed to something unexpected and truths are revealed a whole new side to Only Trick unfolds. I really enjoyed the first half of the books or so. Writing is spot on. Plot is great. The characters really made the story. As the plot unfold in the last part of the book, just really did not appeal to me. The big reveal in my eye, took from the story rather than enhancing it. Sadly changing the way I felt for the book as a whole.
ARC Review: Gemini Rising by Ranae Rose
Ranae Rose
Tempting Signs Series
ebook
May 19th 2015
Fated Desires Publishing
12 Authors. 12 Zodiac Signs. 1 Explosive Series. What seductive, contemporary romance will you find today? GEMINI.
Whoever said fighters can’t be lovers was never a fighter. Any fighter knows that to succeed, he has to be honest with himself – brutally honest. A real fighter knows his strengths, his weaknesses. And he fights and lives with them in mind, no holds barred.
Grant’s weakness is Daniel, an up-and-coming welterweight who once lived, breathed and trained with him before skipping town for the West Coast. Daniel’s weakness is Grant, a light heavyweight champion who disrupted Daniel’s life with an addictive intensity he’s never found in anyone else.
Lila is a woman who grew up cageside and inhabits the same world as Grant and Daniel, a rose among thorns. She’s completely unlike the women they’re used to. And when they’re honest with themselves, they know she’s what they need to be complete.
Ranae Rose scorches readers with her installment in the Tempting Signs series, Gemini Rising. A quick read that will cause the sweat to drip in and out of the ring. Daniel and Grant’s past love affair cause lingering feeling and a lot of tension in their present. Lila’s attraction to and from both men has her head in a tail spin. Wishing for taboo fantasies to be real. Whether you prefer the term ménage or polyamory, this m/m/f story is hot. Raw passion and emotions make a sinfully good read. Not a conventional relationship. Very heavy on the male/male. If that is your cup of tea, Gemini Rising is one for you.

HARD TO BE GOOD on Goodreads
About HARD TO BE GOOD:
Hard Ink Tattoo owner Jeremy Rixey has taken on his brother’s stateside fight against the forces that nearly killed Nick and his Special Forces team a year before. Now, Jeremy’s whole world has been turned upside down—not the least of which by a brilliant, quiet blond man who tempts Jeremy to settle down for the first time ever.
Recent kidnapping victim Charlie Merritt has always been better with computers than people, so when he’s drawn into the SF team’s investigation of his army colonel father’s corruption, he’s surprised to find acceptance and friendship—especially since his father never accepted who Charlie was. Even more surprising is the heated tension Charlie feels with sexy, tattooed Jeremy, Charlie’s opposite in almost every way.
With tragedy and chaos all around them, temptation flashes hot, and Jeremy and Charlie can’t help but wonder why they’re trying so hard to be good…
EXCERPT:
“You should be inside celebrating,” Jeremy said, his voice a raw scrape. “You and Marz did an amazing thing this morning.” An hour ago, Marz and Charlie had cracked open a heavily encrypted microchip that contained a wealth of information that not only seemed likely to help the team clear its name, but proved that Charlie’s father hadn’t been dirty, like they’d all thought. “And I’m so happy for you about your dad.”
A wounded darkness passed through Charlie’s gaze, but he finally nodded. “Didn’t feel right without you there.” Pink filtered into his cheeks, and damn if that wasn’t as cute as it was sexy. Jeremy wasn’t sure anything had ever made him blush.
“I’m just not—” Jeremy shrugged and looked down at Charlie’s chest again. Having seen the guy dress more than once, he knew that shirt covered lean muscle that ran from strong shoulders down to his narrow hips. Jeremy fisted his hands against the urge to burrow them under the hem of the tee. After weeks of looking, and wanting, he was dying to touch. Jeremy found Charlie hard to read though, and hadn’t wanted to do anything to scare him off. “—very good company right now. I’m sorry if that—”
Charlie nudged Jeremy’s chin up with his hand, his fingers just barely touching Jer’s stubble-covered skin. But then his thumb landed softly against his lips.
Jeremy’s heartbeat kicked up and his lips fell open. Slowly, oh so tentatively, Charlie stroked the soft pad of his thumb back and forth across them.
“Charlie,” Jeremy whispered as arousal surged through his body, spiking his pulse, tensing his muscles, hardening his dick.
Uncertainty poured off Charlie as the man’s hand trembled where it touched him, but those blue eyes absolutely blazed desire. No way was Jeremy imagining that.
“You’re always good company, to me,” Charlie said in a low voice, his gaze dropping to Jeremy’s lips. Charlie leaned in closer, and closer still, and Jeremy could hardly believe the other man was the one to initiate this. But he was fucking thrilled.
Jeremy swallowed, his lips anticipating that first soft brush. Charlie was so close his shaky breath caressed Jeremy’s lips. His pace was maddening but so damn sexy Jer could barely breathe. And then Charlie’s eyelids fluttered closed and he was right there…
