Dawn Unearthed
Carrie Ann Ryan
Ravenwood Coven Series, Book 1
NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan begins a new witchy paranormal series where a magical town keeps its secrets, but those in it must find a way to keep themselves safe.
The moment Sage Reed makes her way to Ravenwood, she knows the small town lives up to its mystical lore—even if she doesn’t believe that she’s a witch. After losing her husband, she’s ready for change, and her aunt’s bookstore affords the perfect opportunity.
Rome Baker has secrets of his own—even some that he’s kept from the town he calls home. But when a striking and intriguing stranger saves his life the moment she steps into his path, his inner bear knows that she’s the one for him. However, with the town under fire, he worries he might run out of time before he can show her what they can have together.
A new enemy is on the horizon, one who hides in the shadows, whose history is steeped in lies. And if Sage and Rome aren’t careful, Sage’s new powers won’t be the only thing that spirals into flame.
4 Stars
Carrie Ann Ryan packs a magical punch with the first book of her new Ravenwood Coven Series, DAWN UNEARTHED.
Sage is on her way to begin a new life in Ravenwood. Ravenwood Is filled with magical lore that sage does not necessarily believe in. With encouragement from her aunt, Sage begins the next chapter of her life. Little did she know there was more to herself and her family history than even she realized. Going from a non-believer to seeing it happen in front of your eyes, sage discovers part of who she is and makes a big impact on her new town.
Rome is the local bear alpha and a prominent presence in Ravenwood. He not only protects his pack he protects the town as well. Befriending and working with the vast array of paranormal entities that call Ravenwood their home. His bear is on alert and knows that something is arising yet when a new witch arrives in town and promptly saves his life, Rome knows from this moment things will never be the same.
Ravenwood is a unique town that holds many secrets. Call it a haven or sanctuary but what it truly is, is a home and freedom for many. A town with its own personality that accepts things that are different, even things that the average person can’t explain. One of the big things for me about a paranormal story is the world building and I have to say Carrie Ann Ryan hits this one out of the park. DAWN UNEARTHED is fast paced, intense and entertaining. I love a good witch story and DAWN UNEARTHED is a good one. Sage and Rome have chemistry and then some. I love how their energy connected with each other. Sage is just learning who she is and Rome gets blindsided Buy some thing he didn’t see coming. Together along with the colorful folks of Raven Wood they work together to keep their town, their home a safe haven.
