TIDEWATER Series
She’s running from who she is…
All Jules Scott wants is to live a normal, quiet life—preferably one that doesn’t include ghosts. Jules’s ability for communicating with the dead means needy spirits always find a way to draw her into their otherworldly drama. When one implicates her in a series of deadly crimes, Jules is forced to entrust her paranormal secrets to the person least likely to believe her, the super-hot cop who also poses a danger to her heart.
He’ll do whatever it takes to catch her.
Detective Seth English can’t get distracted from the big case he’s working on, not even by his alluring new neighbor. He doesn’t believe that Jules had anything to do with the string of robberies-turned-murders that he’s investigating, but when she keeps showing up in all the wrong places, including some scintillating fantasies, his gut tells him she knows more than she’s letting on. To solve his case, he’ll need to expose what the sexy redhead is hiding— but the truth could threaten more than the budding attraction between them…
5 Stars
Oh my goodness! Where do I start with everything I loved about this debut novel! Spirited was The Ghost Whisperer meets Law and Order! Jules is the exact type of heroine I love because she is vivacious and she is real. She is not happy with the “crift” she possesses that allows her to talk to and see the dearly departed. She wants to live a normal life and in trying to do so meets the man of MY dreams. *wink wink* Sorry Jules, but Seth English is one cool drink of water. Ladies, we love a little bit of scars on our men right? Whether they are physical or mental? Detective English has had to deal with his own share of misfortunes, but he is still able to feel that instant connection with Jules. Right from the first chapter, we can tell Seth is hook, line, and sinker the very second she tumbles through his window dressed like a hooker!
I also love the side characters in this book. Dev is amazing and Diana is hysterical! I honestly could not put his book down once I started it. The action was fast-paced and nail-biting and the romance was sweet and sexy. Mrs. Behre could not have done a better job. I am absolutely looking forward to the next adventure in the Tidewater series.
I bought this book for my collection. All the opinions are my own and it is an honest review. The image and summary came from the author’s website which can be found in the image. Happy reading!
