Ink by Numbers

Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #3.5

Published: March 26, 2019

Kaylee knows art, friendship, and love. And because she’s known love, she wants nothing to do with it ever again. She likes her life just the way it is. Her art and her Brushes with Lushes classes keep her sane and happy.

Landon spends his days with numbers and financial spreadsheets. At night, he just wants to relax, but the only way he can do that is with a woman. But these days, not just any woman will do.

Kaylee and Landon do an excellent job of dancing around each other, but no matter how much desire burns between them or their own personal hang-ups, they’ll need to make a choice: life as they know it, or a life that could be so much more.

4 Stars

Carrie Ann Ryan sweeps readers off their feet with the latest installment of the Montgomery Ink, Colorado Springs series with Ink by Numbers.

If you have been reading the Montgomery’s of Colorado Springs you have gotten to know a little bit about Kaylee and Landon. Kaylee is the lovely and creative owner of Brushes with Lushes. Kaylee has a past I wasn’t expecting but that past helped mold her into the pretty awesome person she has become. Landon is a solid friend of the Montgomery’s and a numbers nerd. The hottie of a man has been a in a rut with his life.  Over the course of the Colorado Springs spin off of The Montgomery Ink series we have seen Kaylee and Landon have dance around the chemistry they create. Are they or not, has been a running question for many. Even them. Now we get their story.

Ink by Numbers is a quick, emotional and sweet short story. Kaylee and Landon are so good for each other, it just takes them a while to get there. The romance is slow but once the flame is on, there is not stopping the two. The things we learned of both Kaylee and Landon give such insight to whom they are. Ms. Ryan filled in the blanks for all those questions we had of Landon and Kaylee.
