ARC Review: The Catch by K. Bromberg
The Catch
K. Bromberg
The Player Duet, Book 2
Even the woman who shares his bed, Scout Dalton.
But if Easton thought being uprooted to the last place he expected was the only challenge life had to throw at him, he was dead wrong.
With an ailing shoulder and his career in limbo, his decision to make an unexpected change leads him to question everything – Scout’s love, family loyalties, and whether he can conquer the one obstacle he’s never been able to overcome. The secret he’s never shared with anyone.
He may be a man pushed to his limits, but he’s hell-bent on proving his worth no matter the cost.
4.5 Stars
Wow, what a story.
K. Bromberg captivated me with a subject that I have little interest in and of story that had more emotions than I could have seen coming.
The Catch is a continuation of The Player. It is highly recommended that you read The Player to fully understand and enjoy The Catch.
Scout and Easton are both amazing characters. It’s rare that I can relate to both lead characters in a book on such deep level. Their trials and tribulations together and separate just kept coming at them. Through heartbreak, pain, devastation, anguish and joy they found a way to make the pieces fit. Ms. Bromberg doesn’t sugarcoat anything with Easton and Scout. The Catch is a raw, emotional and contains some amazingly deep passion.
The Catch hit me hard on many levels. If I go into detail i’m afraid I’ll spoil book. Let’s just say emotional complexities within the story are extremely well written, spot on and make you feel. Hard. There were moments when I had to set the kindle down because I could not read through my tears.
Ms. Bromberg’s The Catch is an emotional ride that leaves you with the best of feeling when you read The End. Ms. Bromberg totally gets my seal of approval!
