FREDERICK BOOK FESTIVAL RECAP and Giveaway!
Frederick Book Festival
This past Saturday all the girls here on Coffee Books Life had the opportunity to meet and greet with a bunch of authors at the Frederick book festival. Panels, prizes, authors, swag and some wine made this event one of the best free events in the area. The day started by getting a tote bag with swag and a schedule with panels hosted by various authors. In a ballroom area all the authors had tables where we could get autographs, pick up swag, buy their books, or just talk about anything and everything.
Some of the authors included: Vivi Dumas, Melissa Schroeder, Mary Behre, PJ Schnyder, Eliza Knight, Loni Lynne, Elisabeth Staab, etc. The list goes on and on.
Our girls went to some panels including: Romance mash-up- how most books fall under more than one category of genre and how an author promotes a book that doesn’t fall into one place.
Blogger panel- Hosted by Joyfully reviewed; we asked questions to make this blog the best it can be.
Romancing the Hero with wine and chocolate- Ok…to be honest the wine and chocolate was for us but we had a great time naming some of our favorite heroes and what it means to be a heroic character.
Overall, it was a tiring but amazing day and we got lots of signed goodies that we are giving away to one lucky reader! WHOOT!
We have a Frederick Book Festival tote bag signed by almost all the romance/paranormal authors in attendance! They include Melissa Schroeder, PJ Schnyder, Vivi Dumas, Eliza Knight, Loni Lynne, Elisabeth Staab, Jean Murray, Cat Miller, Rachel Rawlings, Lynne Silver, Tee Morris, Philippa Ballantine and many more. A Santinis poster signed by Mel! And see that basket of goodies, that is included as well! A lot of the swag is signed! This is a pretty good load if I do say so! To enter please you the Rafflecopter below! Good luck and we hope to see you at the Frederick Book Festival in 2015.
Dare to Resist
Laura Kaye
Kady doesn’t want his restraint, but Colton knows better. She deserves love, marriage, and a white picket fence—three things Colton can’t give her. But her proximity and the memory of their steamy near-miss three years ago slowly destroys his resolve. And he’s not sure how much longer he can keep his hands off…or his heart closed.
4 Stars
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you other half stumbled upon your favorite sexy read! That was what DARE TO RESIST was to me. Kady and Colton have lusted after each other for years. They also care about each other and have a friendship. That thing called LIFE steps in the way. Sharing a hotel room with Kady, Colton stumbled across some information that changes everything. Information that has kept him from her. Now knowing Colton dares himself to give into his ultimate fantasy of Kady! One night in hotel room alone with the woman he has fantasized about for years is going to change him forever.
Kady is sassy, sarcastic and smart. She’s made a great name for herself and a male-dominated industry. She is a fighter and is going to get what she wants! Colton, my, my, my! If you don’t fall for this sexy man, I don’t know what to tell you. Believe me, just read the book and you will more than understand what I mean.
Intense, edgy and sexy as hell! Laura Kaye has this amazing way of putting her characters together in small spaces and make the pages heat up. DARE TO RESIST was like a readers fantasy come true!

As a loyal fan of the Indigo Court series, knowing the end is coming is always bittersweet! You want to know but you don’t want it to end! What I had pictured in my mind for the way NIGHT’S END would close out this series was far from the mystical and dark tale that Ms. Galenorn has magically woven together.
Cicely, newly crowned Queen of Snow and Ice, is out to finish the war with Myst, Queen of the Indigo court. Looking deep within herself, Cicely finds there is a way to win this war and bring balance back to new forest. Learning that trust as Queen is not the same as trust as a friend. Everyone I have come to love and hate throughout the Indigo Court series is tested to their core to prove themselves. Friendships are further deepened or put at an arm length. Love is lost and memories are made. Sacrifice and loyalty come unexpectedly. Embedded with magic and mayhem, NIGHT’S END is a dark and sexy fairy tale like no other.
NIGHT’S END had a few very unexpected twists that enhanced the depth to story that made me believe this book and series could have ended no other way. Ms. Galenorn has an amazing talent for world building. Creating a world taken over by ice and darkness, making you want to play there. Throwing in every kind of paranormal element, expect the unexpected! NIGHT’S END is a thrilling conclusion to the Indigo Court Series!
NIGHT’S END can be read as a stand alone novel. Ms. Galenorn has given the reader enough of the back story to know and understand. However reading the Indigo Court series books 1-4 will truly take NIGHT’S END to a whole new level. Dark Fae, Vampires, Shifters, Magic Born, Witches and Humans blended together to make an unforgettable tale. Not only do I recommend NIGHT’S END, the Indigo Court series as a whole!
I was given a copy of this book from the author/publisher via netgalley for an honest review!
