TEMPT ME by MELISSA SCHROEDER
The man who could be general.
Jesse Johnson is a man everyone assumes will be a general. Everyone, that is, but Jesse himself. He isn’t sure if he wants to give that much to the military. His father has spent most of his life surviving a lonely existence with only his work for comfort. Jesse doesn’t want that—he wants it all.
The woman who tempts him to misbehave.
The last year has been bad for Zoe Jones. Her boyfriend was killed by some nasty guys who then put her in the hospital. She’s come to Virginia to heal not to fall for some by the book, drop dead gorgeous Marine with a chip on his shoulder. But one little encounter leads to a kiss and that kiss leads to all kinds of interesting entanglements. She knows it won’t last because he has big plans, but she can’t help but falling a little in love with him.
A Marine on a mission.
Jesse knows Zoe thinks they’re just having a bit of fun, but he has other plans. Forever kind of plans. He’s one man who knows how to organize a full on assault to get the woman he loves—and nothing will stop him.
4 of 5 stars
Artist Zoe Jones has had her world flipped upside in mores way that one. Healing not just from a physical injury, but also a shot to the heart, love is not something she wants. Healing takes time and care Zoe learns. Sometimes the right medicine comes in an unconventional way.
Jessie Johnson is walking the path of what is expected of him. Being the son of a General, Jessie knows what lies down that road. He wants more than what a star can bring him. Jessie wants life and family.
With a little help from the matriarch of the Santini family, Jessie and Zoe realize what the both truly need is right in front of them. With a nudge and some well spent time together Zoe and Jessie learn that complete opposites can fit together like puzzle pieces. Just read and you will see.
TEMPT ME is a perfect example of why I love Melissa Schroeder’s writing. The book is fun, sexy and a great setup for TOUCH ME. We get to visit with the lovely Joey Santini(whom I love and feel has a second sense about life). Intense passion with characters that make you fall in love with them at the swipe of the page. By the end of the book I feel like I know Zoe, Jessie and Jack. So love that about Mel’s books!!
A side note- I already love Jack, whose story we get in TOUCH ME! The laughter I had from the phone calls between Jack and Jessie alone make this a great read!!
