ARC Review: Strong by Kylie Scott
Strong
Kylie Scott
Stage Dive Series, Book 4.5
1001 Dark Nights, Evil Eye Productions
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kylie Scott comes a new story in her Stage Dive series…
When the girl of your dreams is kind of a nightmare.
As head of security to Stage Dive, one of the biggest rock bands in the world, Sam Knowles has plenty of experience dealing with trouble. But spoilt brat Martha Nicholson just might be the worst thing he’s ever encountered. The beautiful troublemaker claims to have reformed, but Sam knows better than to think with what’s in his pants. Unfortunately, it’s not so easy to make his heart fall into line.
Martha’s had her sights on the seriously built bodyguard for years. Quiet and conservative, he’s not even remotely her type. So why the hell can’t she get him out of her mind? There’s more to her than the Louboutin wearing party-girl of previous years, however. Maybe it’s time to let him in on that fact and deal with this thing between them.
**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

Martha has giving herself a Reputation as a royal, well you know! She was definitely not a favorite of the Stage Dive crew. She’s returned home to help Ben and Lizzy with Gibson. I laughed out loud when I read that. Anyone familiar with the stage dark world completely understand that.
Sam the bodyguard. Helpful to the guys and women of the band but yet a bit mysterious. The muscle for the band is all muscle. He is kind and has a sweet side to him that you see from previous books as well. Who knew that he was crushing on a crazy woman for a decade.
I loved many things about this book but I will be honest I was not crazy about Sam and Martha. Martha made a bad name for herself throughout the series, and in my eyes that’s really hard to make up for. She had a lot of growing up to do. Sam has been responsible for crazy rock band for too many years. I do think Sam was the voice of reason that Martha needs. She did grow up a bit and see her with spaghetti in her hair was quite funny.
Strong does get the entire Stage Dive family together. That is a major treat for the reader of the series. Any appearance made by Mal you know will contain humor. Seeing Jimmy and Ben as fathers is heartwarming. Strong is a nice addition to the Stage Dive Series.

Never trust a man who answers the door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk.
That should’ve been my first sign.
I write about guys like him for a living–sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic f*ckboy.
And I want nothing to do with that.
Writing romance novels comes with its perks—traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my head—but Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you.
Meeting him was fate, but falling for him was inevitable.
And forgetting him will be impossible.
**This is a complete STANDALONE novel–filled with plenty of humor, steam, & romance! 18 & up only due to explicit sexual content, language, and adult content.
Previously published as My Week with the Bad Boy by Brooke Cumberland & Lyra Parish**

4 Stars
Vada has had trouble finding the words to complete her latest romance novel. Trying to ignite her create a flow, Vada rents a guest house in Charleston. Her spunk and sass come out full force, when the hottie she is renting from gets her creativity flowing while tying her body in knots.
Ethan has a bit of an ego and all the looks to make the ladies swoon. A very talented artist, who knows how to use his hands very well. His ego is a cover for a past that keeps sad memories lurking in his present. Once Ethan allows his cockiness to fall to the side, the man is pretty likable, well make that lovable.
Narrators Joe Arden and CJ Bloom are fantastic. Their voice talents truly bring My Week with the Bad Boy alive. The reader or in this case listener can truly feel the emotion throughout the story. Lots of humor and amazing banter keep the laughs coming through the entire story. The emotions are present, however the amount of humor keeps the story on the lighter side. Vada and Ethan get each other twisted in knots and have a good time doing it. My Week with the Bad Boy is hands down a fun story.

Heavenly Young doesn’t have time for romance. The innocent nursing student is struggling to care for her ailing father, keep a roof over their head, and start a new career. But fate decides to complicate her world even more by putting two very different men in her path and forcing her to make a choice that will change her life forever.
Dr. Ken Beckman—vascular surgeon by day, super-alpha by night—has three hard-and-fast rules: Never date where he works, never touch vanillas, and never get tangled up with a virgin. But the moment he meets Heavenly, he aches to toss his scruples aside and claim the untouched beauty. She’s not ready for someone like him…but he wants her too much to walk away—even though he’s not the only man caught in her spell.
Seth Cooper, ex-cop turned private eye, isn’t looking for a happily ever after, just a hot-and-sweaty good time. And the minute he claps eyes on Heavenly, he’s all for coaxing the angel into his bed. But soon, she’s so deep under his skin that he’s willing to put his broken past behind him and turn his life upside down for her. But he’s got competition…
When it came to helping friends, Beck and Seth were in sync. But now they’re vying for the same girl, and the games get vicious—until they realize Heavenly is keeping secrets from them both. Will they call a truce and work together again before they both lose her for good?

4.5 Stars
Page turning deep and intense romance.
Heavenly has had every rock thrown at her that life can. Her care and devotion to family is unwavering, her determination to make her life better is beyond commendable. Heavenly is a remarkable and loving woman, whose kind and in a may pure is someone who I would be honored to have as a friend. As if her life isn’t coming at her at all side, romance makes itself known in more ways than one.
Enter the Doms. Seth and Ken are two sides of the same coin. Both are drool worthy hot, completely competitive and intense, but very different in the way they enjoy and partake in their kinks. Ken is doctor by day and a man that calls himself a sadist by night. Seth is an ex cop turned PI who is as intense as he is sexy. Two different men who share a kinky side to their life work together to get the girl who has captured not one heart but two.
Funny, deep and intense!
First, if I didn’t know better I would have never guessed The Choice was written by three authors. Flawlessly written and the flow of the story is perfect. Multiple points of view give the reader a wonderful perspective of all three characters in the intensity of this relationship. The story will touch your heart and have you on the edge of your seat at times. The Choice is not just one but three people making choices. The authors do an excellent job of allowing the readers to get to know the characters while keeping the story flowing. There is a cliffhanger ending, but not too over the top and makes the anticipation for the next book that much more.
